Which series should Universal do next as Franchise Collections?

I am a huge fan of Universals Franchise Collections, they are a great way to collect entire film series' in a small package, but with such a large library I doubt every single series will be released this way and probally some unneccesary ones will be released (The Mummy, American Pie) So I was wondering which series you think should be together in a Franchise Collection.

The Birds/The Birds II: Land's End

Jaws/Jaws 2/Jaws 3/Jaws: The Revenge

Tremors/Tremors 2/Tremors 3/Tremors 4

Psycho/Psycho 2/Psycho 3/Psycho 4/Bates Motel/Psycho (Remake)

Timecop/Timecop 2

They still have a lot of their classics to revisit ..... Mae West and W.C. Fields, for example.

I wouldn't mind 'Airplane' / 'Airplane 2'.

Except that Paramount, which owns them, would be pretty upset if Universal released them....

Not really a franchise, but close

This Island Earth
MST3K: The Movie theatrical cut
MST3K: The Movie directors cut

The theatrical cut of the movie is shorter than a regular TV episode.

Both of Image's DVDs go for mad money on ebay, Universal is a fool for not re-releasing them.

Yep. Although they showed their brilliance by re-releasing CASUAL SEX? first. There was clearly a strong demand for that title to be back on the marketplace.

I'm looking forward to:
Creature From the Black Lagoon
Revenge of the Creature
The Creature Walks Among Us

It would be great if the first 2 are made available in the 3-D format but either way i'm looking to seeing these on Dvd.

Definitely Fields... I love what they've done with A+C, but it's downright criminal that they would issue Francis the Talking Mule and TWO Ma & Pa Kettle sets before touching the Great One.

i wouldn't mind seeing a psycho collection if it meant the first one would be anamorphic.

I think American Pie is a much better franchise than Timecop or Tremors. But that's just me.

I would really like the Psycho collection, I remember those were the first "real" horror films I was allowed to see as a kid. I remember renting out the tapes, even though some of them weren't so great I was excited just to be watching something scary

Mae West would be great, especially if I'm No Angel with Cary Grant is re-released. I'm not sure if they'd do a Franchise one for MST3K, but I know I'd buy it in a second.

Agree with Psycho, American Pie, Jaws, and a Creature collection

Personally, I'd prefer that the Hitchcock movies ("Psycho," "The Birds") not be lumped together with their inferior, non-Hitchcock sequels. Same goes for the non-Spielberg Jaws movies. That's just me.

Although there's a lot out there, I could see myself purchasing an SE Box Set of the three. As long as it'd be 'Final.' Knowing Universal, I'm sure they'll throw something together. If there's some excellent extras included, then sure.
Actually, I wouldn't mind picking up a new edition of AP1, my Ultimate Edition case is falling apart. Plus I haven't even gotten AP3, but I thought it was the weaker of the three. That gift set looks tempting though because I really wanna get a look at the "Beneath The Crust" doc.

True, but it could always be re-released on its own.

Of course, Universal seems to be pretty into these collections, so you could be right that the only way we'll see an anamorphic version is in a set with the craptacular sequels.

Yes, Please! And that reminds me of the Lubitsch set on Laser Disc that is still the only release of "Monte Carlo" That would be a good companion.

Yes, and Fields certainly should have been covered before 3 sets of Abbott and Costello, however welcome those are in terms of the completeness. As Fields would say: "Godfrey Daniels"!

It won't happen in a million years, but a collection of Universal's 3-D output (in field sequential of course, no red/blue conversions) would be cool.

It would include IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE, THE GLASS WEB, WINGS OF THE HAWK, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, TAZA, SON OF COCHISE, JAWS 3-D and METALSTORM, along with the 3-D Nat King Cole short and 3-D Woody Woodpecker cartoon.

One can dream....and I'm glad I got to see many of these on the big screen in the original polarized 3-D last year at the World 3-D Film Expo.

Throw us a bone, Universal. You can at least manage to release JAWS 3-D! There are already a million bootlegs of it out there...
