Stargate Ultimate Edition now 1 disc

I received the Stargate Ultimate Edition from Deep Discount DVD today and was surprised to find out that it's only one disc now. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but I searched the forum and hit Google and didn't find anything about it. It looks like only the theatrical cut and the Making of Stargate featurette are missing, but I didn't check for trailers or cast bios. Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't picked this up already.

Hmm...sounds interesting. So the case only had room for one disc, no double flapper?

It's definitely only a single disc. There's no room in there for anything else and the back of the case doesn't make any mention of the missing stuff. It does still have what looks like the original booklet, though.

Hey Brilk,
Give me an email if you want to sell that disc. I actually am missing the first disc, and could use yours.

[email protected]

Thanks

I'm actually happy with it. The extended cut is all I wanted. You can get the first disc cheap from DDD, though.

The main question is did they fix the video glitch?

I recall it looking worse but it's been awhile since I've seen it so I might misremembering. It's in ch12.

It doesn't appear to be a new transfer. I'm pretty sure it's the same old Ultimate Edition without the second disc.

DAMN... mine is a 1 disc and is 12236 12570

oh well... it was a good hope while it lasted... personally I think it really sucks that they not only take away one of the discs and all of the stuff on that disc but they still list that information as being available... unless I'm reading it wrong and the featurette is still there... but if it isn't isn't that false advertising or something?

It is, but maybe they don't even know either. Especially if it has the same UPC. I really hate it though when they make 2 discs into 1 disc.

I almost picked up the 1 disc version at Circuit City yesterday. The 2 disc one had a slipcase and felt heavier so I grabbed that one instead of the other one. Looks like I made the right decision.

I didn't know they changed it. It's sneaky when they have the same UPC.

IMO they should rename the 1 disc version from "ultimate" edition to "limited" or "missing 1 disc" edition.

I'll check out a local CC to see if they have any 2-discs left.

They stopped the limited cover a while ago, so if you really want it I'd advise picking this up at a B&M. That way you won't have any surprises when you open the box that the mailman leaves at your door.

I bought the version with limited cover twice and sold both of them assuming that I can find the title again

Okay, I'll ask... Why did you buy it twice and sell it twice?
