what percentage of your salary do you spend on dvds?

people who make a ton can afford to buy dvds. but someone who makes considerably less that still buys alot of dvds - well thats impressive (or stupid? )

so what group are you in? less than 1%? maybe 5-10% or so? 20%? 50%??? seems high but i wouldnt be surprised with people on this board!

i dont make much but i dont buy many...id be around 1%. maybe 2?

Roughly 20%... or more, depending on what's being released or if I get a wild hair

10 - 20% I'd say. I really try to bank as much mollah as I can but it can be hard when there are a ton of releases out on a particular week.

About 3-5%

More this month...just ordered $200 of stuff from Amazon.

Damn expensive month....as that doesn't include Cheers Season 3 and RotK that I purchased earlier this week.

I would say about 2 to 3 percent. That averages out to about 50 to 75 DVDs a year. I also buy a lot of used DVDs so there you go.

About 7-8%. That's a little high, but as I am fairly single-minded, that 7-8% represents almost my entire frivolous spending.

about 50% of the money i get from selling things (usually dvds) on ebay, go towards new dvd purchases- which in turn get sold off eventually.

10- 20% of my 'regular' income also goes to dvds.

kind of high, but its currently the only 'hobby' i spend money on (also don't drink and gave up smoking, etc)

Are we talking after tax income?

I'd say I spend roughly 10% of my after tak income on DVD's

Now rent is another story! Would you believe I spend 51% of my after tax income on rent?!!?

I would say i spend around 30% of my income on dvds.
But you have to consider that i'm 16 and don't have many bills to pay, and make comparatively little, working only part-time.
I figure, I ought to spend now before I have to go to collage and pay tuition.

I would say probably about 60% maybe more. But then I am 16 years old, and my income is a part-time job (at Best Buy non-the-less). So I usually spend about 60% of a check on DVDs, 15% on food, and about 25% on books and stuff for my AP classes (AP Classes can get expensive!)

I'm in my own little group. if I were to spend $ on dvds that came via my earnings from owning my small business....I'd be in a hell of a lot of trouble. being addicted, bills would go unpaid and the wife and I would be at each others throats. I feed my library with tip money only. no real $. I've been getting $100 to 200 in cash tips every week and every cent goes to my film habit. I also spend that cash on film related books and audio/video gear. I also make sure my employee's get tips...but they usually spend their bonus $ on booze.

final answer....0%.

About 60-75% probably. Of course I'm only 16 and buy all my DVDs myself and only make about $150 every other week during the school year and about $250 every other week during the summer. Nothing else to spend it on, why not DVDs
