What's a good site for compareing "double-dips"

With the new

Enter the Dragon, Saving Private Ryan, Bourne Indenity, Spider-Man..... and on and on discs,

I was wondering if there is a site out there that compares the old edition to the new editons (or maybe a place on this site **cough**hire me dvdtalk**cough**cough**seriously I have a resume**cough** and clips**cough**cough**)

Dang, is there something in the air?

Today I'm wondering about the new Enter the Dragon-- if it has all the old stuff I'll sell it off and buy the new one-- so any site out there for this type of stuff?

Thanks

I'm not an official representative of DVDtalk, but if I were looking to hire somebody to fill a position like what you're talking about, I wouldn't hire somebody who wasn't able to compare this and this without help.

But maybe that's just me. I reccommend dvdcompare as well.

Good thing you're not an official representative of DVDTalk.

To answer the thread starter, I also use dvdcompare.net.

All right smart guys! LOL!

Thanks for the links fellas.

And Guam point noted but it's one thing to read the back of the box and another to actually hear from someone whose popped both discs in and compared them.

Like from your links, is
--1973 behind-the-scenes documentary "Location: Hong Kong with Enter the Dragon" (from the 25th aniversary)
the same as
--Original 1973 making-of featurette (from the 30th aniversary)
?

Only one way to know for sure.

Also
--An all-new introduction and interview with Linda Lee Cadwell (25th)
isn't even mentioned.

Changing gears, don't you guys think there is a need for these types of articals at a DVD site. It's like on the videogame side where you want to know which version (PS2, Xbox, GCN) is the one to get, the same applies here.

DVDs are expensive, and as Fast and the Furious showed us the newer edition isn't always the best. I think this type of stuff is just as important as stand alone reviews of the DVD. We're on DVDTalk. This audience is a little nutty when it comes to our DVDs. If this type of feature isn't warranted here than we're really missing something.

Bottom line America, Teddy shoudogg should send me some cough syrup.

Later

There's the two sites listed above, but neither of them are comprehensive regarding all of the double-dips out there.

And DVD Compare doesn't even show screenshots for comparing transfers.

Yeah I was looking at those sites and they're not great-- very hard to navigate and it just looks sloppy and ugly-- but I guess it's better than nothing...

Ive found the members of this forum to be the best judge when considering a double dip.

(You guys are the best!)

(woah, get your hand off of my leg)

Either way, dvdcompare.net is about the best you'll get, without coming to us...

Well, as everyone knows Fresno is the hub of the DVD universe, so of course we all check out your site daily.

I'm particularly fond of it having a horizontal scroll bar even in 1024x768 resolution. It sucks when you can read a site without having to scroll back and forth.

Hey Jough-

What's your problem? You may not like my site, but I'm just trying to help out others.

I've actually used fresnos before, I think it's a great site, just not my site of choice when looking for the double dips. I actually almost mentioned it, but for some reason thought it had been already.

Darth, I dig it bro.

Oh, silly me. I thought you were trying to promote your site, which doesn't offer comparisons of double-dips, which is what this thread is about.

Jough-

Dude, you need to seriously chill & do a little research before you speak. A DVD Reissue is nothing but a "double-dip." That's what 99% of my site covers.

Jough - stop acting like an idiot, that is what his site covers.

Well, the Fresno site's down now - but all it lists are which discs are going to be reissued - I didn't see a single comparison with screenshots (like DVD Beaver) or a detailed list of changes (like DVD Compare).

So the shameless plug was really off-topic here. I'd call it a thread-crap, except that it's worse because it's nothing more than self-promotion.

I'm all for shameless self-promotion, and if he wants to start a new thread to plug his site, awesome. It just doesn't belong in THIS thread.

Jough-

The majority of my site is a "detailed list of changes" for each title. Get a grip dude.

Did you even bother actually looking at the site before you decided to derail this thread with your trolling? The site is comprised of huge lists of detailed spec comparisons. You're so off-base it's not even funny. Give it up already.

jough, next time you see a post that you think breaks the rules, please report it and let us handle it. Otherwise, what can happen is what is happening in this thread. Let's get back on topic.
