Smallville S2 discs loose in almost...
every box set at my local Best Buy. I had to go through four boxes to find one that had discs 2 and 4 loose but not scratched! This was very frustrating. At first I thought the stock boys were to blame, but as each box I opened only had discs 2 and four loose from their hubs I started to wonder what happened at WAMO? If you haven't purchased the set yet, be aware that shaking the boxes didn't tell me anything. Each was "quiet" even though the discs inside were off the hubs.
Anyone else have a similar problem?

I had the same problem with Angel Season 2. The clerk and I pulled discs from 3-4 sets until we could complete one that was not scratched.
I'm getting my Smallville set from CH. I hope everything goes ok.

Oh, man. Angel: Season Two... That was the one where I got something like 4 off their hub. Only the first disc seemed to be affected, so I returned it. On Smallville: Season 2, only disc 4 seemed to be off it's hub (and I shook it too and it was quiet). Didn't look to have any damage, but we'll see how it turns out. I'm watching the set now (well, not right now, as I have work in an hour, but this week).

My copy of Smallville came with 1 disc loose. My season one came with a loose disc and the disc was so scratched up it would skip when it played. They need to come up with a better way to package these discs.

Yeah, I bought my set at Target and my set had 2 discs loose. Luckly neither of these discs were scratched in anyway. Yeah, the shake test didn't help either, which in retrospec is a good thing since if I had heard something, the discs would probably be scratched up.
I'm not too disappointed tho, good season. Can't wait for the 3rd and 4th.

Bought mine at Circuit City and discs 2 and 4 were loose, but oddly enough, they weren't scratched at all. However, discs 1 and 3 had scratches.
Took it back and exchanged, got a set with no loose discs, but discs 1 and 3 have scratches again (worse this time, actually).
Will probably give up and accept it as long as it plays ok. Tired of making lots of trips to stores to buy a single boxed set.

I had the same problem with gilmore girsl season 1 and smallville seaosn 1, not to mention smallville season 2... i think it may be the cases that Warner used, but that wouldn't suck becuase I like the Warner Sets better than the Digi-packs or slim cases that fox's uses.

I had two discs loose on my S2 set. My Gilmore Girls set had two loose also. Why can't everyone make their sets like the Alias and Sports Night set? That is about the best packaging on a tv set imo.

I ordered mine from Amazon and everything is firmly in place. I'm sure this problem exists, but by looking at the packaging, I don't even know how it is possible for the DVD to be loose with everything so tightly packed together.

I got my copy today at Best Buy. Disc four was loose, moving around and scratched. Disc two was loose, but still remained on it's hub, and not scratched. All the other discs were firmly in place. And thankfully, I did get a booklet. (I was a bit worried about this because I've used my Season One booklet countless times)

Just opened mine today. Everything was fine. I had even knocked it off a shelf that sits about 3 feet off the floor the other night.
I've only had loose discs once. It was one of the earlier Buffy the Vampire Slayer sets. When I opened it almost all of them were loose. They all played fine. No scrathces.

Mine are in the mail and I want them BAD. Now, I am kind of worried that they are going to show up in sorry shape and then I am going to have to return them and wait another week for it to show. **Crosses fingers**

I do remember that when I got Smallville Season 1 from Wal-mart last year, I had to return it because disc 5 (I think) was loose and scratched and it skipped when played.
