I went to Wally*World and they had a good supply (6 or 7 each)... except they had about 12 On the Front Lines. Didn't see a dent among the bunch. Nice!
I keep the band because it will create a small "spine" so I can see which tin is which from the side. They're very easy to slide off and on.

I was also disappointed to see the security sticker on the band. I am going to try blow-drying mine, which has worked before on paper titles without a mark.
My experience: Target at 8:30 AM had only Mickey Mouse, Best Buy at 10 AM had none out, Costco at 4 PM had copious amounts of Front Lines and half boxes of each of the others. I bought a Front Lines and Tomorrowland to be sure I had each in hand, even though I have a shipped order of all four from Amazon.
Tomorrowland is going to disappear quickly for two reasons -- there are noticeably fewer of them, and people have been buying extras to make sure they get one! I think with my multiple panic orders I will wind up with three, extras I intend on giving to friends.

If you have to ask, then they are probably not worth it for you. Most of the rest of us love them because they not only include a great collection of classic cartoons, but also great material that has not been officially available anywhere for decades.

I went to my local Wal-Mart on the way out to my parent's house and they didn't a tin in sight. Then I asked an employee about them and he didn't have a clue as to what in the hell I was talking about.
I should have known better. Guess I will try BB after work tomorrow.

All 4 are on the way from Amazon. I went to BB today and they had a good amount of all of them. Didn't really inspect the cases or anything. Mine should arrive tomorrow from Amazon. Can't wait.

Front Lines will be perpetually popular for several reasons-
-the themes of the material has resonance to current events
-many of the shorts contain traditional Disney characters in an atypical setting
-the atypical, more adult nature of the work
people will alwyas be looking for this set, but there will also be a TON of them out there floating around
Tomorrowland on the other hand, has all the earmarks of being a 'sleeper'.
-there is no real tie-in with any traditional Disney characters so many people don't look at it as essential
however
the material crosses over to another genre
and the fact that Disney character collectors may avoid it, is the same reason that non Disney fans -and even Disney-haters, will be more open to buying it in the future.
it will appeal to sci-fi geeks, retro geeks, and people like me who love that genre of educational A/V, social engineering shorts.
and then add to the fact that the print run is less than 1/2 of what Front Lines is, and is the least of all the DTs so far-if you were going to speculate on any of them- this is the one i would bet on.
i originally went to order this from Amazon with an STL discount- only to find they stopped listing it (about 3 weeks back).
i freaked out and then placed an order with DVDPlanet, and then when Amazon put it back up, another order with them (at their full pre-order price) along with Front Lines.
so i'll have 2 copies of Tomorrowland.
i would have perferred not to waste any money on something i don't need (like an extra copy), but the improtant thing is i actually got it (the one copy arrived today- and the others are in route).

From: WAS looking for My Own Private Stuckeyville, but stuck in Liberty City (while missing Vice City)
SO...
After reading in one of these Disney Treasure threads that one of my friendly neighborhood Costcos only had a box full of Front Lines, I decided to give 'em a call before heading out.
1st conversation:
Me: "Could you tell me if you had a DVD in stock?"
Costco "Employee": "You want to know if we sell DVDs, DVD players or DVDs?"
Me: "No. I know what you sell. I want to know if you have a DVD in stock."
Costco "Employee": "Which one?"
Me: "Walt Disney Treasures. There's actually four different ones."
Costco "Employee": "No, I haven't seen those."
Me: "Well, there were due out today. Could you check the inventory in the computer?"
Costco "Employee": "Well, I haven't seen them and no one's told me about them. Oh wait. Those came out last year."
Me: "No. This is a new batch of DVDs [seeing as how the conversation was going thus far, I didn't want to use the phrase "a new wave"]. Well, could you check the computer to tell me if it's in the inventory?"
Costco "Employee": "You're going to have to call back, I don't have a computer near me."
It was actually longer than this, but it's been edited for length. That's the gist of the conversation.
So, I call back. Both to rat out the "person" I was talking to before and to find out some information. The second person I spoke with was very apologetic and very helpful. She told me they had 83 in stock but couldn't tell me if they were different. Just that they had the same stock number.
Whatever.
I said "What the ****" and decided to drive down and take a look myself. Would they really have 83 copies of Front Lines? Well, I get down there and, lo and behold, they had a box of Front Lines.
26 of 'em.
I try to find a red vest and ask for help. After finding one, they send me up to the front of the store [Like a well oiled machine....]. As i'm walking up front, I catch someone with a walkie talkie. I ask him if he could get someone that could help me in the DVD department. He heads back there with me. I explain the situation to him. He calls up front on the walkie talkie and asks them to check the inventory. He's told "83". He asks how many has been sold. "2" is the answer. He goes on to tell me that it wouldn't make sense for the stockpeople to just put out only ONE title when there are four different ones and that each individual DVD should have a separate stock number. At this point, I realize resistance is futile and just listen to what he's saying and agree with EVERYTHING. [He seemed like a nice guy...perhaps I had interrupted him on his way to doing something...]. Once he leaves, my girlfriend and I check behind every. single. box. underneath the table. Nothing. I'm disappointed and thinking that perhaps they haven't put out all the DVDs yet [It happened with the Friends DVD last week. It wasn't out last Tuesday, but was there on Friday]. So I realize that I might have to make another.****ing.trip down there [and at $2.10 a tank for the CHEAP stuff, i'm thinking I should just spare myself all this drama and just buy 'em at Best Buy]
So, we continue shopping..
As we're getting ready to head up to the checkout, I decide to put back the Return Of the Dragon SE that I had been carrying around. After putting it back, I realize that we hadn't checked underneath the CDs on the other side of the table. So I pull out the first box...nothing. I pull out the second one and notice that there's a sticker on the front that says "Do Not Pull Out Until May 18th.". I pull the box out and open it...BINGO. Chronological Donald. I put it back and try the cardboard box next to it...Mickey In Color II & Tomorrow Land. Score.
Grab one of each, put the boxes back and head up to the checkout.
This addiction is getting to be too much. But, I have to admit...finding 'em felt good. [It's the little things that count...]

I went to my store when they opened to get them (I had to get my manager to open the store since they were still closed a couple minutes after ten with some pissed off customers).
I got my four, left. The one's I picked had some minor dings, but I wasn't that upset since some of my others have worse (any way to get them out?)
Then I show up for work 8 hours later, and only two more sets of four were sold besides mine.

My local Costco had four boxes out and they seemed to have been fairly well picked through since there a mixture of titles in each box. Probably a good third had already been sold. I found Mickey #2 and Front Lines right away as they had a lot of these titles. I was able to find *one* copy of Donald after going through three boxes and two copies of Tomorrowland in the fourth box (which was on the floor underneath the DVD table).
My guess is that these babies are gonna go a lot faster than the previous waves, especially Donald and Tomorrowland if the selection at my Costco is any guide.

The first disc of my Tomorrowland set defaults to sub-tiltles ON everytime I play something - It's not that big a deal, since I can turn them off, and it's the only disc to do so... but still...
Anyone else?

Also, it's best to store these and the tins separate. To lessen the chances of the tins getting bent.

I ordered from DDD and after not getting a shipping confirmation by noon today, I went out and bought all 4 tins at Best Buy + Wal-Mart. I got 3 from Best Buy (they didn't have the front lines set) and were in perfect shape. I went to Wal-Mart for the front lines and when I got home I noticed the tin was bent. I drove 20 minutes back to Wal-Mart and after fighting with customer service, I was finally able to get a new tin. This one isn't bent, but the paint is slightly scrached. No big deal. I plan on taking the ones I get from DDD and either keeping them and eBaying them later or take them to Wal-Mart and say it was a gift and get cash back.
