Flight of the Navigator (1986).

I remember this as a kid, but I couldn't for the life of me think of the title, until I was browsing amazon.com. They said it is due for release on June 1st. Does anyone know more about this? Is it a reissue? Or all-new?

So it is all-new, thanks Rammsteinfan!

Why hasn't a cover art or specs been released? Is it me or is this a semi-cult classic?

There's cover art, it just sort of sucks. I guess it could have been worse.

I like the "appealing to nostalgia" bubble on the bottom.

That's gotta be the cheesiest, ugliest cover I've ever seen. That said, I will definately buy this disc! Loved watching this movie growing up.

This was one of my favorites as a kid, and I'm really looking forward to checking it out on DVD. Although it would suck if there weren't any extras, we should feel extremely lucky to get this film in anamorphic widescreen.

It's also one of my favorite movies when I was a kid too, awesome that it's going to be released, too bad it's a crappy cover but who cares, it's coming out, baby!

That cover is pretty harsh but the theatrical poster isn't much better. I would have been happy with a picture of the ship or something but whatever, it's Flight of the Navigator we're talking about here.

I would have loved extras, but I'm just so excited about getting this fave from childhood that I don't really care. Heck, I don't even mind the cover "art"!

I'm looking forward to seeing this again. I was 8 or 9 when I first saw it and liked it. Of course, at that age I watched Howard the Duck every day for a week.

Also, that cover makes it look like a movie that won't scar you as a child.

That is terrible cover art, but I'll be buying it anyway as I have fond memories of this film from my childhood.

Ready to grab this one! It's one of a trio of films that I always think of together, even though they really are all quite different - the others are The Boy Who Could Fly (already out on DVD) and Explorers (don't make us wait too long!).

"no way FOTN's cover art has anything on the horror that is Real Genius' cover art."

the power of air brushing... as I recall, the young Val Kilmar had quite a big mole or growth on his face that the cheezy cover art fails to show.. just thought that was a bit amuzing..

On topic again... I too will be buying FotN but I won't be embarressed about buying it.. it's for my non-exsistant little brother ; )

Luckily I keep all my dvds spines out so I won't have to see this cover!

My son is really looking forward to this one. He saw my old VHS copy a few years ago and really enjoyed this film.

I liked it because of Sarah Jessica Parker.

You know what's weird? I always thought this was a 2.35:1 film growing up. I don't know why.
