Why wait?
Just come to New York.
Go to any small Mom and Pop DVD Store.
Buy it today, like I did.
Screw all the free crap.
See it now.
Come to New York.

I'm waiting for the Extended Edition. I already got EE for FOTR and TTT. I might as well finish ROTK with the EE.

Own the theatrical and EEs of the previous two films, will do the same with ROTK. Best trilogy ever made IMO.

Same here...but I'll be waiting til 8am or so to pick it up.

From: in Austin, probably stuck in traffic.
If they have the box sets of the theatrical release I'll get it at costco. Thats where I pick up most of the box sets I buy anyway. Then I can wait for the EE to complete my LOTR collection.

buying both editions. I will pick them up at whatever retailer has the best price. Right now I might lean towards Best Buy.

Columbia House - about $7.50

I will still get the Extended Edition and the $5 rebate for buying both.

Well considering the fact that this thread is based on the assumption that it's being directed to people who plan on actually buying this film, I would say that it's not necessary. It doesn't want to know who is interested in buying, it wants to know whoever IS buying, where are they buying it from?

i'll watch it at least once or twice and then sell it at the end of summer for about $7 (or more), and then spend the next few months anticipating the EE.

best of both worlds.
My plan also (except that I will probably give it to a friend rather than sell it). Cost will be $7.33 shipped. For that price, why not watch it a few times while waiting for the EE?

Ill get mine from Amazon.com rather than any local B&M shop here in canada since they use bilingual covers (which sucks).
