Looking for a few foreign legit dvds, need help
Thanks to the informative folks here at dvdtalk, I just found (on ebay) "Hero," which I enjoyed. The other dvd's I'm looking for are Infernal Affairs, Battle Royale 2 and Shaolin Soccer. I've found several on ebay, but can't be sure if they're bootlegs. If someone has scans of the covers I should look for, I'd appreciate it. For the record, I've got a Region 1 player only. Thanks.

Check out the International Forum - there are threads on all those tiles which you can probably locate with a search. (and if you're enjoying the HK movies, go region-free to increase your options!)

Well, I checked the International forum, but could only find discussion about other region discs. So if anyone has any info about region 1 or region 0 discs of these films, let me know. Thanks!

Infernal Affairs
Infernal Affairs II
Infernal Affairs III
These are all original HK versions, not bootlegs.
The prices are in HK dollars, which and come out to about $14 each. The dvds for parts 2 and 3 (and maybe 1 too, I forget) are listed as Region 3, but they are in fact Region 0.
Shaolin Soccer
You really should get a region free player, especially if you like asian movies (though even if you don't, everyone needs a region free player).

I have the Philips 726 and love it. I found it at Sears $60 a few weeks ago.
I heard you can find the Philips 727 on clearance at some targets it the same as the 726 but add a optical out.
To make these multi-region follow the instructions on this site

Yeah, DDDHouse is the best. And cheap as hell too. Although you probably shouldn't get the Hong Kong release of Shaolin Soccer, but the Korean one. I read something about it having a better transfer there. Search for it in the international forum.

Yeah, the HK Shaolin Soccer has some small problems on it. The DTS track is great, but the picture has some small pixelation here and there. I haven't seen the Korean release yet, but it's 2 disks, with all the extras shoved on the second one, so it should be better.
