The Collector's Edition is way better. Universal screwed themselves when they released the Tricked Out edition and stopped the CE. Probably one of the only re-releases that was actually worse than the first release. I wanted to buy the movie but when I saw the CE was oop, I said 'screw it'. I eventually got the R3 CE but I still wish I had the R1, which has a DTS track. Even the Korean DVD doesn't have a DTS track. One of the only DVDs where you can find a DTS track on the R1 but not R3.

Anyway, like everybody said, the CE is better.

The CE.

Remember, 2 Fast 2 Furious has quite a few of the special features the Tricked Out Fast and the Furious has.

Yeah, it's kind of like Beneath the crust editions. After watching the first movie, I don't particularly care what's beneath the crust. It's also like The Bootiest Edition. I don't want a bootiest anything.

If you really like marketing fluff, I'd suggest the Tricked Out Version. Of course, if you're a real man, you'd get both.

I have to say CE as well. I was pissed since I sold my CE to buy the Tricked Out just to find that it's crap. I then sold the TO and bought the CE again.

thanx for the replies, a few questions.

1)Whats the main difference between the two
2) James Powell, what did you mean by the "marketing fluff" thats on the TO edition.

BTW, I'll be getting the CE.

The CE has a great DTS track, this is the biggest difference.

I'm pretty sure they removed some supplements (not sure which ones) from the CE and replaced them with 2f2f promo stuff on the TO.

on the tricked out version, before you hit the menu, is there a stupid warning that says like "the stunts and car chases in this movie were done by professionals.."? that notice was on 2 fast.

The Tricked Out edition has the exact same DTS soundtrack and transfer.

Not as good as the pod racing in Star Wars Ep 1., which I know is your favorite movie, but it comes damn close!

Oh god, I've become a troll! My apologies to everyone who likes fast cars, fast women, and all of you who thought "Torque" would be a good movie.

Does either version have any special feature that makes the film not suck?
