Lost Boys?

I was just wondering if there has been any news on the 2-Disc "Lost Boy" DVD that is suppose to come out towards the end of this year... Thanks!

Assuming that there are some decent extras (especially a commentary), I'm ready to double-dip!

Have been holding off on buying the first release as I heard the SE was coming out. Waiting for this one.

Yes I would double dip.

I was actually in the movie....as an extra at the boardwalk. One of my two moments of fame

I don't have this one yet. The original isn't too bad, it is anamorphic but the transfer could be improved. Pretty cool movie.

You didn't have a choice for "I already have the barebones release and don't really need the Special Edition".

The mere thought of a special edition Lost Boys DVD is more than I can bear. I would give one of my kidneys for some behind the scenes stuff, and commentary from the actors involved. Few things in this world could be better than that. It makes me feel lightheaded just thinking about it, I must go lie down now. Was that one of the options in the poll?

I almost bought this a few times, but never felt like watching it right then, so I skipped it. So a no-brainer to hold out for a bit longer and single-dip.

I loved the movie and will totally double dip on this one. I didn't even know there was going to be a re-release. I even have the sound track which is pretty damn good!

Pretty happy with the current version. Completely depends on the specs and extras of the new one.

An all-time favorite so I'm double dipping without question.

www.dvdanswers.com has an article today stating that a 2-Disc Release has been announced for August 10th. The Discs will included two commentaries (one by the director, and a multi-angle video commentary by some cast members), along with a dozen featurettes... retail is $26.99.

All I have to say is Its about damn time!
