How many of the 6 versions of Kill Bill will you buy?

Well, technically it's not 6, since it is two movies, but apparently they are releasing the following;

Kill Bill Vol. 1
Kill Bill Vol. 2
Kill Bill Vol. 1 : Special Edition
Kill Bill Vol. 2 : Special Edition
Kill Bill 2 Pack
Tarantino Collection Box Set (includes Kill Bill)

Not sure if the 2 pack is the special edition or regular edition. Maybe there will be a 2 pack of both.

Why can't they just respect the consumer and make one good edition.

My apologies if this topic has already been handled, too many KB threads to sift through for the info.

Well you can't consider the one in the Tarantino box set a different version, because it won't be.

But I will buy the SEs of Vol.1 and Vol. 2 and I won't see the movie until they come out and I can see it together.

Wow, this thread just restarts every week.
I have the barebones Kill Bill VOL1 now, and I will get the better SE version when it comes out. The same for VOL2.

Depends on the exact differences between the various versions, including what cut of the film is included, not to mention any extras.

Cool, another Kill Bill thread! This is one of the few films that I will buy every version of (already got the R1 and the R2 Limited Box). Maybe there will be an R2 Vol. 2 Limited Box with eyeballs and snakes in it.

none if they don't show the film as it was before the MPAA got in the way...then i'll eventually go to another region to get it.

if they do release the pre-edited/censored version in R1 i'll go with whichever has the most content.

i'm in no hurry...

The MPAA never "got in the way" of anybody. Taratino cut the film that way before submitting it to them.

I will only buy the uncut version of Kill Bill 1. After that is given, I'll take the version with the most extras.

And Groucho: Tarantino has said that he cut the "Western" version of the film the way he did because he knew the MPAA wouldn't stand for the most violent stuff seen in the Japanese version.

i was under the impression that the reason he did was to be pro-active and to avoid the MPAA possibly having him cut even more.

so did he make the decision to censor us and not the asian market or did he decide that he wanted two versions of the film to be shown in different markets?

probably the Vol. 2 two barebones, and the special editions of both 1 and 2 (hopefully the SE's will be uncut).

I have the barebones Vol. 1, but would double dip on it.

Vol. 2 I'll hold out for a SE of it.

And if they release the two movies combined as one I would pick that one up also.
