When do you watch your animation/anime DVD's?
I being a child of the 60's feel totally out of place watching anime or animation DVD anytime other than Saturday mornings.Something modern like The Simpsons or Family Guy-I have no problem watching them on primetime.

I typically watch my animated stuff on the weekends. During the week, I tend to watch regular television and don't have much free time for my DVD purchases. Sometimes though, if it's a new release I'm really looking forward too, I'll pop it in as soon as I get it, regardless of what day it might be.

Saturday mornings are completely out for me, because unless I have something planned, I'm not even up before noon.

The only DVD of cartoons I would buy is Family Guy. That show is so funny.

Whenever I like.
But as far as anime is concerned, I like to watch it alone, by myself, but again, whenever I like and when I have the time

All the time.
In fact, I have a tendency to put them on to run in the background even when I'm doing other stuff in my Loft. Animation/Anime has a more surreal feel for me, and at those times, it just becomes a moving piece of artwork on display.
And to reiterate what eau said before, you're missing out if you've never seen some of the works from Miyazaki or Pixar.
On a side note, I just watched Grave of the Fireflies this weekend for the first time. All I can say is, Wow. One of the most touching films I've ever seen in my entire life. And that statement was intentionally not qualified with the word "animated" in front of films I've ever seen.... Highly recommended.

I'm a child of the '70s and can remember when Saturday morning Looney Tunes were the high point of the week. Usually I have to work Saturday mornings, so I watch them whenever I have a) the time & b) the mood strikes me.

Well, all I have is CGI animation, ie. Roughnecks, Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders. And I watch them whenever I need an animation fix.
Not a real big fan of anime. One being that most are dubbed, no? And second, the animation style itself. I don't really care for the anime heads.

I usually watch my animation DVD more frequent than live-action ones. Not only because they're mostly TV shows, but because there's so many more details I discover with each subsequent viewing.
