Star Wars Trilogy covers inside the box?
OK, we've seen the outside box, but are there any details concerning the actual covers inside the cardboard? I assume it'll be like Indiana Jones, where you get 3 keepcases for the movies and a fourth one for the extras. I'm hoping that they match Episodes 1 & 2, but if they don't...
It was The Greek's back covers that I liked the best, and looked closest to 1 & 2, from the "unofficial" SW Trilogy DVD set. I had my fusion of these back covers with DarthVong's slightly-modified by me front covers posted on DVDcoverart.com until Lucas made them all go bye-bye.
Anyway here are small previews on what I think (and some of you said) are the closest to matching the real 1 and 2 Star Wars covers. I corrected most (all?) of the misspellings in the synopsis and everything below that (McCallum only had one "c"), except for the fact that they have copyrights of 2006 (oh well). I removed the last line in each synopsis mentioning hours of bonus materials, except from the episode 6 synopsis "The thrilling conclusion to the Star Wars saga will leave you wanting more with over six hours of supplementary footage." I couldn't remove that line because of the background behind it. The whole line can go, since the first line already says "conclusion to the Star Wars saga". I also don't know how to change the special features area because of the pictures behind the text.
I think all of them should be made into two disc sets for consistency. Maybe the bonus disc that's included with this set, R2-D2: Beneath the Dome, and The Stars of Star Wars could all be used as disc 2's for each movie. Or something like that. Are there any other Star Wars DVD's out there besides "Dome", "Stars" and episodes I and II? Not counting parodies like Thumb Wars.

Obviously the special features box will be fixed. Notice how I fixed the roman numerals on the front so that they no longer run into the spine. I do think they should be kept as two disc sets to keep the consistency with 1 & 2. Maybe the disc 2's could be "custom" editions of the theatrical verisons? Then of course the bonus disc will be in it's own case.
(Due to the way the stupid geocities site works, the links to the pics probably won't work. If so, right click on the link, select Properties and see the full url. Highlight it and paste it into a new browser window to see the pics.)

Don't forget...
There are other things too, that are considered by some to be part of the official cannon:
Episode 2½: Animated Clone Wars
Episode 6¼: The Ewok Adventure
Episode 6¾: Battle for Endor

I plan on updating mine at some point now that the specs are released. My work schedule has prevented me from doing anything at this point, including getting my site back up. I'm going to try to make a matching cover for the 4th disc once I can find an appropriate image. A portion of
is a possibility if I have a hi-res version. I'll have to check my Drew Struzan CD.

I was thinking the box looked a little thin for four regular cases?
Hopefully it'll be like Indy, but with an additional cover to go over the one holding the cases. Like they've done with the VHS SW releases.

The_Greek, that's awesome. I like that picture. I have the VHS hologram set that includes the "From Star Wars to Jedi" tape. It includes a book with that cover you posted. I think it only shows the Star Wars stuff. If it's any help I could scan the cover and send it your way.
Maybe you could do one disc versions just like your old ones but with the correct specs, and a cover for the bonus disc. And then if you could also do 2 disc versions something like I posted above. I do like your front covers, but I also like DarthVong's front covers that I modified. I liked them before I modified them, but now I think they match the first two better. I changed the "Star Wars" logo to look more like episodes 1 and 2, made the roman numerals as big as they are in 1 and 2, put the DVD logo in the same place on each cover and changed the top banner to a quote from the back of the newest VHS releases. I hate how Episode II says simply "Widescreen" when Episode I said "Every Saga Has a Beginning". Then maybe I can add these modified fronts for alternate versions for those that prefer, if you don't mind.
Also, note the misspellings I fixed. R2-D2, C-3PO, Kenobi, possession, Millennium, Chewbacca, confrontation, and McCallum in the bottom credits. I think that's all of them. Oh and I don't think there should be a comma after "friends" in the line "his friends Han Solo" on Jedi. I did the best I could do without the ability to remove the text with non-solid color artwork under it.
Anyway, can't wait to see your finished covers. Keep up the great work!
The book I have is called "George Lucas: The Creative Impulse- Special Abridged Version" The cover looks just like that picture you posted with Lucas and the characters from his movies. It only has the Star Wars people, though it cuts off just at Luke's arm in the middle of the Death Star. So, there is no Yoda, Obi Wan or Han in the pic.
