Anyone else get a duplicate shipment of Freaks and Geeks Yearbook?
I got my first one last week and my second one today. One was in a box and
one was in an envelope. I've only been
charged for one.
I suppose it is possible I may have won
the second one from the DVDTalk
giveaway. However, I was never notified
by e-mail. Does anyone know who won the contest?

The 1st one that I payed for had the following return address:
Sony Online Store
5152 Columbia Drive
Carrollton, GA 30117
It also contained a packing slip with my name and order #
It was shipped in a box.
The 2nd one that came today that I wasn't charged for has the following return address:
Aimee Dodd
(310) 979-5604
Shout! Factory
2042-A Armacost Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90025
It contained no packing slip and was shipped in a padded envelope.
Did everyone who paid for this receive a packing slip with their
purchase? What was the return address?

I think Aimee's sweet on you.
You should send her a picture of you in return. On the back, you should write, "Do you like me? Check []Yes or []No." Don't let her pull that write-in "[X] Maybe" crap, either.
Dude, she even gave you her digits! You are so in!

I'm gonna grab a folding chair and wait in anticipation for the crowd that'll damn you to hell for even entertaining the idea of keeping two DVD sets when you only paid for one. Anyone want anything while I'm up?

I ordered the regular version from circuitcity.com and also got a duplicate version from Aimee Dodd at Shout! Factory.
I assumed I won the second one in the DVD Talk giveaway. UPS tracking showed that it shipped the day after the giveaway deadline.
There's a Circuit City near where I work, so I went there yesterday, returned a copy to them and got a refund for it.

Did you get the yearbook ed or the regular 6 disc from Aimee?
I can say for certain that you did not win it from DVDTalk.
I called Aimee today and explained the situation. She told me thar
there were some giveaways through one or more websites that
were associated with their marketing department. She works in promotions and was helping someone from the marketing
dept. send them out.
She took my phone # and said she would call me on Friday to let me know what website I had registered (and won) at.
Do you remember any site that you registered at that was having a contest of some sort?
Anyway, congrats! Apparently, you are a winner.

Finally got an answer from Aimee. I did, in fact, win the DVDTalk giveaway. I was pretty sure that it wasn't from DVDTalk because:
A) I didn't get an e-mail from DVDTalk
B) It wasn't sent from Kleinman.com which is what
Geoff said is usually on the return labels.
garymickd----
Since I was incorrect with my original assumption, it looks like you
are also a winner of the DVDTalk giveaway.

Wow, so anyone with a duplicate want to trade for something? Or sell them to me? You'd definitely be sending them to a good home...
Or even just loan discs 7 and 8 to me so that I can watch them?
I'd give one of the following DVDs to someone who would loan me discs 7 and 8 for 3 days:
61*
Casablanca (non-special edition)
From Dusk Til Dawn (unopened)
Right Stuff (non-special edition)
Spiderman (2 disc special edition)
Total Recall (non-special edition)
I would keep them pristine...
Or.... does anyone know anywhere to rent them?
Just couldn't justify spending $120 on them.
