Nice, I will pick up Double Indemnity and This Gun For Hire. But where the heck is Universal going to release all those Sci-Fi films on DVD? Here a list I think they should release NOW!!!

Tarantula
The Incredible Shrinking Man
This Island Earth - I know it OOP but need a re-release.
Monster on the Campus
Colossus: The Forbin Project
The Deadly Mantis

There's already a thread about this here (it's not even a day old and is still on the first page): Double Indemnity (+More noir), Abbott & Costello Vol. 3 Coming From Universal SOON!

Plus the Universal site didn't say anything about Touch of Evil so I'm not sure where you got that or what you're talking about.

I wonder if THe Funhouse will be improved enough to make it worth buying. I've got the old Goodtimes release that K-Mart's been selling for $5 the last couple years around Halloween.

Thanks for posting this, Mao!

Any chance this might be the studio cut of Touch of Evil? Probably not, but it's possible.

The Legacy - thank you Universal for stopping me from buying a used VHS copy!

and yet we wait for an OAR treatment for the original.

otherwise, a remarkably underwhelming list....not a single title i could ever imagine spending money on....

I'd like that, but I wouldn't expect too much from Universal. It's probably just a repackaging of the current disc.

I'm puzzled as to why Universal is releasing The Sting II, but yet there is no mention of a widescreen SE of The Sting.

Like most people, I'm be picking up Double Indemnity (as well as Best of Abbott and Costello, Volume 3) from Universal's Summer catalog releases, but I'm probably the only one here to admit he'll also be buying If A Man Answers & That Funny Feeling. (I'll also get Moon Over Parador if it's OAR.)

Festen!! Festen!!

This is a HUUUUGE surprise. This has been near the top of my "Most-Wanted-But-No-Chance-in-Hades List!"

It's right next to Dellamorte Dellamore with a transfer better than my Japanese bootleg.

I already have Double Indemnity so nothing else on that list interests me immediately, but Festen's better than anything I could have hoped for when opening that thread.

When I actually get a real job, I'll pick up the rest of the Noir. Until then, patience is necessary.

Did you even read any of the posts above? Touch of Evil is NOT mentioned on Universal's website. I don't know where he pulled that from, but as far as anyone can tell it's not being rereleased.

I'll be getting Double Indemnity and Festen aka 'Celebration.'

(Fingers crossed that Universal doesn't somehow mess up my buying plans.)
