Rumors? Yes. Import DVD's already released? Yes. HBO will undoubtedly get off their asses and release season sets eventually. Every TV show under the sun is coming out on DVD. Have you preordered "Punky Brewster" Season 1 yet?

I did some snooping around a year ago and found out that the rights to the show arent 100 percent hbo. Some comic group owns about a third of the rights. No one wants to foot the bill to have the show restored. Basically its in limbo just like Rod Sterlings Night Gallery. I wouldnt count on seeing this show on the dvd format.

I would. Any rights or legal issues that may or may not be holding the show back from getting a U.S. Region 1 release will be resolved eventually, especially since the show is not exactly obscure and there is a demand for it... And especially since there is money to be made.

Are those Spanish DVD's Region Free or another Region?

I would love to own this series as well as Tales from the Darkside as well.
