Cool.

My wife has been waiting for this. It was her favorite show.
|
Pretty good price too...I hope we get the same kind of extras we've been getting on The X-Files sets.
|
Only saw about 5 minutes of one episode once. Can someone fill me in on how many seasons there were and whether you think it is a good blind-buy? I am a Sci-Fi nut if that helps. Thanks.

IIRC 3, I think the final was a short one too (search the net I'm sure you'll find plenty of fan sites). Unfortunately this also means if you are looking for a series w/ a resolution you should look somewhere else. They left A LOT of things hanging. Overall though it was a good series that just didn't catch on. Unless there are some good features though I'll probably pass on buying it and just netflix it ;)

Damnit! OK there are just way too many good shows coming out for me to keep up with now! :(
|
Fantastic! Been waiting to hear when this show will make its DVD debut.

Sweet!! Too bad my favorite episode is in season 2. The one featuring Jose Chung (Charles Nelson Reiley) this and the X-files with the same character are 2 of the greatest episodes of anything to run on Fox.

"DVD (x2) $59.98"
Only 2 DVDs? For 22 episodes, even without extras, shouldn't there be more discs? I don't think I own a single season of ANY TV series that is only 2 discs. Perhaps this part is a misprint? - burninator |
Hopefully season one will sell well enough for them to bring season 2 out
|
You mean it's not gonna list for $125 like the X-Files?!??!
 |

What are you talking about, $125? All X-Files seasons are now reduced from their original $149 price. It's $99 I think.

YES! (mark one off the list!)
THANK YOU fox! |
Sweet ! A really good, underrated show, of which I got to see too few episodes before it went off the air. When I was able to catch it, though, I thought the show had a really superb, dark flavor, very reminiscent of the bleakest eps of The X-Files. In fact, it is probably the darkest show (literally and figuratively) I've ever seen on TV outside of Twin Peaks.
Glad to see the lower price point, too. And since it only ran three seasons, should be pretty easy (and relatively inexpensive) to collect it to completion (always a good quality for a TV series on DVD). Also, for those who are interested in Millenium's crossover with X-Files, there was a pretty good season seven X-Files episode (titled "Millennium", appropriately enough) in which Henriksen's character (Frank Black) plays a major role. It was made after the show Millennium went off the air, and was supposed to act as something of a wrapup for the story line developed in the original show. Pretty cool to see C. Carter give the original show it's proper due with that tie-in. So with the release of X-Files season box sets wrapping up next month, I'll really be looking forward to starting on collecting these three sets. |

Unfortunately this also means if you are looking for a series w/ a resolution you should look somewhere else. They left A LOT of things hanging. As far as things "left hanging", this isn't entirely true. During season 2, the show was in danger of not being renewed for a third year, so the producers-writers decided to go out in a bang, so to speak. Without going into details or spoiling anything, let's just say the final two-part episode of season 2 wrapped up everything perfectly and still remains one of the most unconventional and shocking conclusions to a series ever. Truly TV at it's finest and most haunting. Unfortunately, there was a season 3 which pretty much made that previous "conclusion" seem kind of petty in retrospect. A new character was added and the show became a bit more conventional and stumbled it's way through another year before finally getting the axe. To be quite honest, I don't really remember how the third season ended, but I do recall right before the final episode originally aired, Fox announced "and now the SERIES finale of Millennium" which was the first "clue" from Fox that this was the end of the show. That blurb prior to that airing caught a lot of fans off guard. Season 3 probably did leave some stuff hanging, but didn't some of the Frank Black character's story get resolved afterwards on his guest appearances on "X-Files"? Anyway, I still choose to look at the show ending more with Season 2 and its incredible finale - season 3 just seemed like a network attempt to breathe life into a show that was admittedly over. |
Hot damn! :D

Season Three did have an ending to the series with
Spoiler:
It wasn't a cliffhanger - it was a conclusion. |

Cool news. Season 1 was good, but I'm really waiting for season 2, which I think is one of the best seasons of any show I've ever seen.
Season 3...eh, I'll pass. Carter really stunk it up in season 3, trying to make it more "X-Files-ish" by pimping "conspiracies" et al. But season 2, under the guidance of Morgan and Wong, is gold in my book. |
yep, you people snatch this up when it comes out so that I can get my Lone Gunmen sometime down the road.
