This was definitely a cool show, but I also agree that it trailed off in season 3.
|
i can't wait for this to be listed for pre-order! :D
|
please don't thank Fox too much because they have stated that this could be a 1 season only release. if the set doesn't sell to their expectations they will not release the other 2 seasons. this is my greatest concern for this release. it is my favorite show. I hold it in a much higher regard than The X-Files. I will be totally PO'ed if I only get the 1st season. don't get me wrong, I will be happy that I have the 1st season but I do want the complete series.

My dad is really excited about this since it was one of his favorites and he was really upset when it was cancelled, I'm definitely going to get it for him. I'll watch it too though, the episode with Duchovny in a poster as "Mr. Ne'er-Do-Well" was hilarious!

Originally posted by bardevious Cool news. Season 1 was good, but I'm really waiting for season 2, which I think is one of the best seasons of any show I've ever seen. Season 3...eh, I'll pass. Carter really stunk it up in season 3, trying to make it more "X-Files-ish" by pimping "conspiracies" et al. But season 2, under the guidance of Morgan and Wong, is gold in my book. |
Millennium was a very good show, but Chris Carter is an idiot for ruining it. For Season 2, Chris gave the showrunning power to Glenn Morgan and James Wong. After making a terrific season... Chris was unhappy with it because of long story arcs and getting too close like the X-Files. He fired them both and got new people. Thus Season 3 was garbage.

One of my favorite moments for the show was Lara Mean's drug-induced freak out, all set to Patti Smith's Horses - sometime during Season 3, I think (or was it the end of 2?)
that was damn cool..... |

Been waiting for this too, that's exciting! Season 1 and Season 2 are some of the best TV ever... Season 3 sucked.
|
Man this show was awesome! I loved how Nine Inch Nail's "Piggy" was played through parts of episode 1. They better release season 2 and 3 as well!

Interesting they are releaseing it in 1.33:1, because as far as I can remember it was shot 16x9. Some else might be able to remember better than I. Anyone?
|
-eek- "TV Spots for all 22 episodes", is this the first time something like this has been included in a TV set? None of the ones I have I think have all the TV spots for all the episodes.
I can not wait for this set :) |
'Jose Chung's Doomsday Defense' is easily one of the funniest hours of television ever.

great news
|
I seem to remember at least the first season being 4:3, but I'm not positive.
|
It's pretty common to have TV spots for every episode. The X-Files and The Sopranos sets have them for all episodes, for example. I'm sure many others do as well.
|
I don't know if the episodes were filmed 16:9, but I watched every episode of Millennium when first broadcast, and all episodes were broadcast 4:3.
My educated guess is that the episodes were filmed 4:3. Seasons 5-9 of The X-Files were filmed 16:9 (and 4:3, of course), but appear widescreen on DVD. Since Millennium also comes from Chris Carter, I would think that if Millennium had been filmed 16:9, the DVD announcement would have said something about it. |
Yeah, it was aired 4X3, I watched em' all too... But I could swear there was something posted about this at some point in the last year or so... Might have just been a rumor or fanboy talk... But it went something like Millennium was composed and shot for 16X9 but aired 4X3.
At any rate, I'm just glad to have Season 1 on the way... And since it did air 4X3, that's good enough for me... |
