For each set, disc one is DVD-9 (single side, dual layer) with artwork, and disc two is double-sided as follows:
Wolf Man set: both sides single layer
Frankenstein set and Dracula set: both sides dual layer

Here's a comparison of the crucifix from Bride of Frankenstein.

I'm currently working on the comparison pages and will post again when they're ready. Most of the discs look identical; Bride is very obviously improved. At first glance, Dracula looks a tiny bit worse.
Thanks for the info. I'm still not sure if this tiny improvement is worth shelving the old version of the Bride though...

Cool. I've been meaning to pick up the movie for some time. I guess I can wait for a little longer.

Great job. But I would just like to point out that on the Bride comparison page, it looks like you may have inverted the first two images so that the second image of Elsa Lanchester ("You know how lightning alarms me") shows more image to the right than the first and should therefore belong to the Original Monster Collection since you say the Legacy Collection shows less of the left and right sides and bottom than the Original. Or does the cropping vary during the film in the Legacy Collection?

Be that as it may, I don't see this new transfer as so radically different, except for the contrast which really had to be toned down in the Original.

I take that back. I rewatched the movie again and your capture surprisingly belongs to the Classic Monster Collection. I have also noticed that the grain of the original DVD is quite actively dancing all over the place. Is there an improvement on that front in the Legacy Collection?

Grain seems far less noticeable on the new release of Bride.

Incidentally, titles on the new version are generously windowboxed, unlike the original release which was full screen.
