Extra Commentary for US Buffy Season 7?

I just read a couple of posts over at another forum that said that cast members Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, Michelle Trackenberg, and Eliza Dusku are scheduled to recorded a "cast commentary" for "Chosen" in the upcoming Buffy Season 7 Set. The Commentary is supposedly only for Region 1 discs as a "Thank you From 20th Century Fox." I was just wondering if there is any truth to this rumor, because that would be awesome.

Can't wait for May 18th and Unscheduled December 2004/January 2005!!!

That would be awesome! I hope it's true. I can't wait to pick up Seasons 6 (which is coming out on May 25, not the 18th) and 7. I'm also hoping they'll include the "previously on" intro for "The Gift" (the one that has clips from the first 99 eps), maybe as an easter egg or something. I haven't seen it yet, but I'd really like to.

The Gift was Season 5, which is available already. They didn't include the Previously On.

About Rob's post

I think Rob was acknowledging that they missed the boat on putting it on the S5 set, but that they could redeem themselves by including it on the S7 box (or even the S6?).

Right, Rob?

Gift Intro

According to tvshowsondvd, in one of there news articles it said that there is a 30 second gift alternate opening easter egg in the season 6 set, I've been hoping for awhile that its the previoiusly on, part of the episode.

Right! That's exactly what I meant.

Happy Easter

Now, you want to talk easter eggs, let's get the original Buffy pilot with the first Willow! THAT's a bonus feature!

BOMM,

Season 7 has the "Previously on Buffy" from The Gift as an easter egg. Although it's advertised on the packaging, so does that still count as an easter egg?

I went ahead and answered yes since I have all 7 seasons(1 & 2 are Region 1, 3 is Region 4, and 4-7 are Region 2). The last 2 years were weak, but the completist in me had to have them all.

Buffy ended with 'Graduation Day, Part 2'.

If I keep telling myself that then I might one day manage to erase all the crap that came after that from my memory.

Is season 7 more depressing than season 6?

Someone on these boards said that Season 6 was even MORE depressing than season 5 (which I find very hard to believe).

No, Joss and Satan Noxon made a conscious effort to lighten the tone after the fans bitched about Season 6 being too dark. For the record, my problem with Season 6 has nothing to do with it being too dark or depressing. The reason it was a major dropoff in quality from the previous year was due to nothing happening for about 10 episodes. It felt like they knew how they wanted to end the season but were forced to drag their feet for half the episodes since they had to supply UPN with 22 hours.

And flash forward to Season 7 and it's the same situation all over again. They came up with enough storyline to fill maybe 9 or 10 episodes. Which once again left us with half a season of filler. And unfortunately the writing(and acting with certain cast members) was so poor and inconsistent that I grew to hate the characters.
Spoiler:
At least in Season 6, Tara was around to keep some semblance of sanity amongst the cast.

And miss out on "Hush"? "The Body"? "Once More With Feeling?" "The Gift"?
