Star Trek: TNG seasons. Getting hard to find?

A LOOOONG time ago, I bought the 1st season of TNG with plans to buy the rest. Well, here it is, and I still haven't bought any other seasons.

How worried should I be that I won't be able to find the rest of the series? Is the set OOP? Should I bite the bullet and get all of the rest in one fell swoop, or can I afford to spread out my purchases over the next year?

I wouldn't worry too much about it...I think plenty are available - I just don't think stores and online retailers stock a lot because of their expensive price and the fact they don't move too many copies after the first month or so of release.

Personally, I only have the first 3 seasons of TNG, none of DS9 and the 1st season of Voyager. I plan to complete all three, but at $100 a season, it seems I'm always choosing between buying a volume or buying 5 or 6 other titles with the same amount of money.

The TNG sets are not OOP and are not going OOP, as far as I know.

I don't see any issues with spreading out your purchases over 2004/05.

Look on EBay. - I've seen several listings by compulsive collectors who HAD to have the whole set, but never watched more than a few episodes from the first season.

As soon as they feel a little money crunch, they post all seven seasons together in one listing. I scored all seven seasons for right around $400.00 . . . six of the seven sets had the Best Buy bonus disc. Only season seven came without the freebie.
Good luck

I agree with HighSpeedOnIce - eBay is the way to go!

It took me about 10 months (Jun. '03 to Feb. '04) but I got ...

TNG Season 1 (NEW-Sealed) - Jan. '04
TNG Season 2 (NEW-Sealed) - Feb. 04
TNG Season 3 (NEW-Sealed) - Sep. '03
TNG Season 4 (open - like NEW) - Aug. '03
TNG Season 5 (NEW-Sealed) w/Bonus DVD - Jul. '03
TNG Season 6 (NEW-Sealed) w/Bonus DVD - Jul. '03
TNG Season 7 (NEW-Sealed) w/Bonus DVD - Jun. '03

... for approx. $500.00 including SH (no Tax)! (or approx $71.00 AVG. each Season Set)

Digitaleyes.net has them for $100, but yeah, eBay is the way to go to get them cheaper. I spent an average amount of $90 for Seasons 3-6 (only seasons I thought were worth the money).

Local used places might be an option too. One of the places I usually check out has them all available (last time I was there) at about $74/each.

I picked up Seasons 5 and 6 used for 50 bucks each. Actually, as time goes by, I think these are becoming easier to find, not the other way around.

I spread out my DS9 buying starting in November 03 till last month buying them from Amazon Marketplace, my average was only about $65 for each of them and they came in near mint condition.
