Ginger Snaps Collectors Edition - Won't play in widescreen
I just got the Ginger Snaps Collectors Edition DVD from Canada. It is a really cool DVD, but on my player, it isn't widescreen.
Now I know you are thinking, that I have my player set to 16x9, well I don't. Movies like the Matrix and Pulp Fiction I watched a couple of days ago play as 2:35:1.
Ginger Snaps will play in widescreen on my X-Box, so I don't know.
I have a Panasonic DVD-A120 player. In fact it doesn't have a zoom function and I don't see something to set it from 16x9.

You might have your player set for "pan and scan on the fly" and not know it. Some players offer this feature, but very few discs are coded for it. GINGER SNAPS is one of them.
Simply check your DVD player menus and you should be able to correct this and get the disc to play in widescreen.

I had a similar problem with "Snaps", -I thought I had been screwed (I thought it was "letterboxed" but it was playing "full frame". Then I discovered it had actually "re-set" my X-Box...
