Problem With Lost In Space TV DVD

Has anyone watched the first disc in the series LOST IN SPACE: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON? There are scenes in episode 2 & 3 that have off synch sound on my copies. Anybody else notice this?

I didn't notice any synch problems when I watched it. Are there specific spots in those episodes or is it throughout?

My discs played fine. I just hate the fact that the show wasn't remastered from the original 35mm prints, and instead they used the video 1" masters that were used to dub the Columbia House videotapes many years ago. As a result, episodes are either dark, missing scenes, or show video scanning lines. However, audio out of sync is not one of the problems I've encountered.

I am half way through the season 1 boxset and I have not seen any problems with the video... at least the "video scanning lines". As for missing scenes, I thought that scenes were "added back in"...or at least when compared to my most-likely faulty memory.

Wow, are there really scenes missing? If true, that's awful. I also had a problem with some scenes being kind of dark and with grain, but nothing too major. However, those off synch scenes really bug me. They are not in every scene in episodes 2 and 3, but a few, then it corrects itself. Maybe it is my DVD player.... What I'll do, when I have time, is watch the scenes again and be more specific for my next post on this thread.

I also had problems with episodes on the PETER GUNN VOLUME ONE set, with terrible lines scrolling from the bottom of the screen to the top. None of the reviews I read mentioned having the same trouble, but I assumed they didn't watch the entire disc.

Could this be my player?
