From: You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Evidently the people who complain about fully-loaded 2-disc special editions of classic foreign films that sell for only $26 are people who never bought laserdiscs.

Even at full retail, it's a bargain for what you get.

I just figured it out...ProfessorEcho is so named because he loves to hear himself talk!! And say the SAME THING over, and over, and over, and over, and over......and yet, it remains pointless?

You go ahead and "call them like you see them" PE.....and we'll continue to do the same. But don't get your panties all in a bunch when we all point out the silliness that is your argument - or lack thereof.

I do, however, agree with the original poster that rubbernecking their office is kind of creepy.
I think its creepy that you think visiting their office is creepy.

And while I'll admit I found the Criterions arousing, there was definitely no "rubbernecking". There was a happy ending though, if you know what I mean..

So it's wrong for the Professor to thread crap in the Criterion worship thread but it's ok to do it here?

I don't understand how criterion is reaching the "average" DVD buyers with Armagedon and The Rock. I have considered buying them for some time and will probally buy over the internet but even when looking in any average store selling DVD's I can't find them. All you find is the one disc edition. What they do reach people with (and as many people has said) is with Chasing Amy and The Royal Ten. becuase those films are at every store.

Apparently if you want to post on these boards, you never ever
f--k with Criterion. That's truly pathetic. But mob mentality won't scare me or intimidate me from posting. I'll continue to call 'em as I see 'em and I'm on these boards to stay. Have a nice day.
You put the same thing in one of your reports about a post you didn't like. Just because we don't delete every post you report doesn't mean that there is some sort of conspiracy regarding Criterion. I haven't been able to be on as much as usual this past week, and it's possible that it's been the same for other moderators, considering that it's Easter/Passover weekend. Your persecution complex, or whatever it is that you have, is unwarranted.

No one hate's Bay's films more than I do. But in the end, I see Criterion putting out films the way the director intended, putting out nice discs, and never once have I seen "THE ACTION EVENT OF THE YEAR - John Banner, the tulsa review" on the cover.

That overrides the fact that there's a few shitty movies that go against their mission statement. To me anyways. That said, I only own about 4 Criterions.

That's just not true. Every Best Buy I've ever been in carries The Rock and Armaggedon.

Same goes for Target.
