I hate when they start with first season dvds when the show didn't pick up to the later seasons. Same with Married with Children and Save by the Bell the later seasons were the best ones. Only way i pick this up is for really really cheap.

You know, if it were $15-20 cheaper I might consider it ... but $49.99? Aren't most TV series $29.99-$39.99?

I wouldn't mind having The Wonder Years first season though.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. I just don't understand why people would want shows like this on DVD. Is there rewatchability with these "growing up" shows? I put other shows like Dawsons Creek, Party of Five, Saved by the Bell, etc in the same class.
Granted I was never a big fan of shows in this genre, I tend to favor shows that make you think, or at least entertain, and generally in the sci-fi genre, like Trek, Stargate, etc.

Don't you understand "different tastes"? I STILL watch BMW reruns on Disney. Just because they are "growing up shows" doesn't mean that they're any less re-watchable to those of us who liked the show than X-Files is to its fans.

I remember getting into this show when I was younger. Not right away but when all the soap opera stuff started to happen. I grew up with this show (i think they were a year ahead of me gradewise) and it's nice to see it coming to DVD.
I really don't see myself buying it unless it was like $20, but its nice to know its out there.

Well, considering that I was in my mid-20s when this show was on, watching junior high and high school kids grow up on TV wasn't on the top of my "things to do" list.
Now watching starships shoot at one another and blowing shit up, now that's where it's at!

they stole my name for this show.
*Except that they took the E out of Corey (my middle name) and changed my first name (Matthew) to Matthews and made it a last name.
Losers.

I really liked this show and may pick it up if I can find it for cheap. I did hate the name jokes when I was in middle school though.
