For some reason, it reminded me of those guys that have old Hondas that dupe it all up with all that after-market customizing crap, replete with fire extinguisher, rollbar, and Asian writing on the side, but that's just me.
However, I am now further understanding the whole Anime thing, I guess. Not big into Foreign stuff, so it is still not my bag, and I definately will not be checking it out any time soon.
Of course, this is just my opinion, and I could be wrong.

I'd say about 20% anime/animation. I am an animation fan overall. I have only select anime titles and series, but would have more if I did not have friends I could borrow from easily.

Virtually all the television shows I have on DVD are animated...South Park, Family Guy, The Critic, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, etc. Only a few anime essentials for me, like Ghost in the Shell.

Almost none out of well over 500 discs. I have Akira and that's it for anime. I have Seasons 1-2 of the Simpsons but that's it for animated stuff. Absolutely no Disney/Pixar stuff-not my thing.
I'm prolly getting the Animatrix tomorrow so that'll really bolster my collection.

I dont even know how many DVD's i got...probably over 100.
Other than the REQUIRED animation (FUTURAMA) I own the Fantasia set.
Anime...well, i think it takes up like 5% of my collection (If that).
As for Anime...well, you just treat it like any other genre of moving picture entertainment. Some you will like while others you're just gonna avoid.

I would say about 10-15% of my collection is anime/animation. Thats going to change in the coming months with the release of Batman: Animated & Superman: Animated as well as buying some things that I have been planning on getting for a while now.
I like anime well enough, but I can't afford to try as many series & titles as I would like. The single disc movies are like $20-30 bucks and the boxsets usually cost a million bajillion dollars. These movies/series are really not impulse buy friendly.

Only about 35 (out of about 1300) titles are animation, mostly Disney and other U.S. titles.
