How many DVD players do you own?

After reading the thread about everybody's first DVD Player, I began to think, how many do we all have? I have 5 currently, but have owned 7 total.

1. Living Room Sony
2. Master Bedroom Toshiba Dual Disc
3. PS2
4. Desktop computer
5. Laptop computer

I have had two others:

6. XBox
7. Original DVD player that broke

Will be buying a portable LCD DVD player for plane rides soon enough...

***For this to get interesting (and easy to calculate), add your total EVER OWNED to the guy above you for a final number at the end of your post, so the next guy can do the same. For instance, I have owned 7. My number is 7. If the next guy had 3, put a 10 at the end, like this:

7

Its that easy. Hoping this works 'cause I'm curious how many DVD players we have here...

OK so here is my number

7

3 including laptop - though i've only watched one on that in a year - sound/video sucks compared to my anamorphic widescreen HT set up.....so I can't stand it.

5-ish

Sony - single disc
Toshiba 5 disc changer
Playstation 2
Xbox
PC-DVD setup

I really only use the Sony and PS2... even though they are hooked up to the same TV. I don't know why, but my remotes work between the two.

One in the bedroom
One in my Server
One in my PC
One in my Wife's PC
One that we use for testing finicky discs (incidentally this is my first player from 98/99... ad600a )

Let's see: one DVD-ROM, one DVD-/+RW, one region-free, one changer (main player), and an XBox.

So, 5 in total.

You cheater! Clearly, the ones in your computer are the same ones (DVD-RWs are clearly also the DVD-ROMs as well).

So it's *only* 14.

I'm just kidding with you. Anyway, out of curiosity, why do you have a separate player for TV shows? Does the Sammy do something better for TV shows?

ONE!

Two by the end of this summer, as this one that I have is three years old, and we are upgrading our HT when we move into our new house.

Not a gamer, still occasionally play Nintendo 64, but that's it.

Nope, while it's true that the RW drives are also ROM's by default, the ROM's I listed are seperate read-only drives (saves read wear on my burners). My main comp has 2 RW burners and a ROM drive (I do a lot of data work and do simultaneous data DVD burns for archiving). My laptops only have ROM drives.

As far as the dedicated TV DVD player, I just bought it since it was a decent priced mid-level player and I was tired of switching out the TV discs everytime I wanted to watch a movie on my main player. Now I just leave whatever TV show disc I'm watching in the Samsung, so I can just power on and resume where I left off. I was never a fan of changers back in the CD days, so that wasn't an option for me.

1. RCA Single-Disc (first player)
2. PS2 (don't use for dvd's)
3. Xbox (ditto)
4. Panny CP-72S 5-disc Prog Scan
5. Sony DVD-Rom

I am looking into picking up a multi-region player very soon, so that will make 6. I also want a portable player sometime in the future.
