Let's not get carried away...the cover art is pretty unoriginal, but the posters themselves are cool. It's just incredibly lazy work on behalf of the cover art designers, that's all. It's not like the Revolutions DVD's cover art is painful to look at...I think it look better than Reloaded's cover art. I can also think of a few more annoying/disgusting DVD cover arts out there. However, you do have a point in that Warner should make their cover arts as top-quality as their Matrix transfers.

I saw both of them on sale a couple of days ago in a shop in the East Village, but they wanted $29.99 for them. I expect both of these will be $14.99 in some of the larger stores on their release dates.

Same here Scandal, finding movies early in NY is easy as hell, but you have to pay full price for them so I opt to wait for the release date, only time I do it is for the LOTR films becasue they somehow get them almost a month early and I just put them on Ebay for a quick buck after watching it once.

I haven't seen that one on sale yet. I would have been pretty tempted. The Matrix a week early is no big deal, and Kill Bill two weeks early I can live without. But ROTK a month early...

Anyway, I suspect these places have a "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" policy with the distributors. That must be how they get them so early to begin with. I can't imagine studios going through the PR nightmare of playing the heavy against these little shops, and I can't imagine the big chains credibly crying foul over these practices.

In NY these are mom and pop stores breaking street dates (although Ive never seen a mom or pop in them, mostly some shady characters, hehe), Best Buy has on occasion broken them a week early for some titles but it depends on the store.

You are expecting a lot from a small business..

The main reason they do this is because all stores usually get there dvd's a week or two early to prepare them for display from the distributor. They still carry the same "Do not display till such and such date". Mom and Pop stores just don't care. Why don't they get in trouble? Well no one reports them and if they do, they are such a minority that the distributor wont do much anyways. Now if Best Buy or another big store breaks street date and is found out then it's a bigger story and the leak would be much more widespread and of course the distributor would hear about it from more folks. Even then it's a slap on the wrist if anything.

It's a sort of practice that the distributor looks the other way at simply because it's not worth the time. Through the eyes of these mom and pop stores they don't see it as anything big. Besides, most of them don't even have enough space in the back room to have films sitting there for a week or two when they can be on the rack.

There are literally over a dozen small stores right off of Broadway in NYC have had these DVDs & all new release DVDs out 3 weeks before street date as does the store that issues got his at, which I know where that one is as well. But they all charge $29.95 msrp which is absolutely INSANE to pay IMO just to have a DVD a couple of weeks early.

There are few DVDs that I can't wait a week or two for. Heck, I still have a viewing backlog as it is - and with Netflix stuff coming in, I always have more than enough discs to watch.

Just got this dvd myself, i'm totally baffled why only some trailors made the cut, the teaser trailor for The Matrix was on but not the full, the trailor for both Reloaded and Revolutions made the cut but not the trailor that had footage of both, hell this was my first time even seeing the Reloaded trailor.

Picked this up yesterday and I have to say the disc is just awesome. PQ is excellent and the DTS track is amazing with ridiculous bass. Never been a fan of animated menus, but have to admit the ones on this disc may be among the best I've seen! God, I can't wait for my Japanese box now.

The documentary is 22 minutes long.

The one with Uma walking in the desert and the Wedding scene. There is also the regular trailer and the car teaser for Vol. 2 on it, as well as the trailers for the other three QT flicks.

Just got mine! But the scene with Deus Ex Machina doesn't sound as deep as I remebered from the cinema.
Where the chairs and floor rumbled!
Ok so I don't have a sub and that might be it..but maybe it is the mix. Can anyone with a 5.1 setuo tell me?
Picture and sound is great though!
