Kino is releasing this highly acclaimed German feature about a photojournalist's experiences in war-torn Beirut.

I have never been able to track this film down, so I'll probably just blind-buy it.

hmmm...i've never seen this either....but I loved Katharina Blum and am also anxiously awaiting The Tin Drum....

I liked Katharina Blum too, but I can't say the same for Tin Drum. Two other Schloendorffs I'd like to see are Der Junge Toerless (1966), about bullying at a boarding school, and A Degree of Murder (1967), about an amoral young couple.

It will be a blind buy for me too; looking forward to it.
