Check out that above link. At Amazon they have a listing for the normal US released version, and then then "IMPORT" version, but it doesn't have a picture and doesn't list anything about the DVD. Could you order this and be sure you are getting the Canadian release?

The US release is bare bones, while the Canadian release has a few great extras on it.
I already have one, I'm trying to find one for my cousin.
Do you think what I posted would be the right thing?

I certainly wouldn't assume the one on Amazon is the Canadian version. You could ask the seller but as noted above, you can get it a lot cheaper from Canada. I did, several years ago.

The Canadian edition is one of the best single-disc releases ever - those commentaries are great. Anyone who enjoys this movie should definitely make an effort to get the Canadian release.

They finally emailed me back, and it IS the Canadian release that I'm looking for.
My cousin will be very happy, as long as he likes this as much as I love my copy.

The canadian release is WAY better. It has audio commentary by : David Cronenberg, Documentary : The Invisible Art of Carol Spier and Theatrical Trailer. While the American release only has trailer.
