Boyz N The Hood: SE --- New transfer?
Is the SE a new transfer? I only found one review where the reviewer thought it was the same transfer. Has anyone actually compared the two discs?

This might be a stupid question but.....
If the first release was not anamorphic and the second release is anamorphic, how can it not be a new transfer? Can they release a non-anamorphic dvd then make that same release anamorphic? I would think it would have to be a new transfer......

Nevermind...just saw that the original is listed as anamorphic.

Yes, I suspect they are both identical because the new version also offers full screen as well as widescreen on the same side of the disc and the audio track is the same again.

Yep, I believe it's the same disc only with some extras and different packaging. Nonetheless, I think the transfer is pretty good for an older movie, and the DD 2.0 is decent. I get some pretty cool bass when the red car's got it's subs bumpin', or when Ice Cube and co. go to the car hangout.
