For those who are going to get this 3/30, or maybe already have it, which are you going to go with? I really want to get the 2 disc but it's very expensive. I may just end up getting the 1 disc. How about you all? For me, it may just come down to how cheap I can get the 2 discer. If it's 20/25 bux at Best Buy on release day for the 2 discer, I'm going for it.

It just seems wrong that this got better treatment than the original TCM. On that note, I'm going with the 2 disc.

And, right now, Synapse has been hired to do a full high-definition restoration on the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Because of this, we’ve had to put some Synapse stuff on the backburner for the moment and that’s the reason we’ve moved the rest of our release schedule to next year. TCM is a film that means a lot to me and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have Synapse involved with this.
Anyway...i should be receiving the 2 disc 2003 version in the next fews days as it shipped recently.

I'm getting the 2 disc version, for sure. I never really watch the extras or anything, with all the DVD's and 'TV on DVD' stuff I buy, i never have time anyway, but as a collector, it's definitely worth a few extra bucks to get something that looks this nice.

Just the modest single-disc for me. Two-discs seems excessive. Especially since if I were to watch the extras, it would be just once at the very most. But chances are I'd never watch them.
Extras are nearly worthless to me. Give me a sufficent a/v presentation, and I'm set.

I wasn't going to pick this one up at all, but for those that have seen it - is it worth the 2-disc? I hate to get a single disc version of a blind buy when there's a 2-disc version.

2-dsic you silly man. The little spike on the price doesn't bother me. I like the film a lot (my grade of a B) and it has three audio comms. and a nice 75-minute doc that seems to be pretty revealing on all aspects of the film, the pos/neg.
Ohh, and it has crime scene photos!!

Wow, seems like a unanimous decision for the 2-disc verison of this film. I think I'll go with the 2-disc, as well. To be honest, this is the released I've been waiting for this year, and I think the extras would be well worth tit. This looks like the real deal: anamorphic picture, DTS sound, 75-min documentary, and lots of other extras. If I can find it for $30, I'm game!

I am getting the two disc as well.
Since I want all the trailers/tv spots(on the one disc as well),the deleted scenes..& docu. + May check out the commentaries sometime. Should be interesting hopefully.
Oh yeah..& I like the SE poster better than the boring theatrical poster
