Enemy of the State/Crimson Tide SE DELAYED......
From digitalbits....
In DVD release news, we have word that those forthcoming Buena Vista special editions of Enemy of the State and Crimson Tide have been delayed from their original May 4th street date. There's no word on why, or when they'll be rescheduled.
About freaking time someone said something......they announced these late last year. I have been looking for EOFS since then for preorder.

So was Ransom :P

I will be pissed if they release Enemy of the State in anything less than anamorphic widescreen.

The plan was always to re-release them in anamorphic. Let's not jump to conclusions, people.
I don't remember reading anything about commentaries on these discs. Is it possible that Tony Scott wanted to add more bonus material?

OK, my mistake, I wasn't keeping up on the news for this disc. I wasn't aware that they were just re-releasing it with the same exact transfer. I would have assumed that by now, most studios would have been aware enough to release everything in anamorphic. I guess I can cross Buena Vista off that list.

Well, I've had the region 2 special editions of both of these for about a year now - they're anamorphic and they have good supplements.
So, I'm guessing the only reason they pulled the R1 releases is to maybe throw even more extras on them - or maybe it was a rights thing - who knows...

I also have the SE Ransom from Australia...but not the SE of EOTS...but I do have the barebones anamorphic copy from Germany. Boy I'll tell ya....those movies have a great look in 16:9.
