[QUOTE] Monorail is one of my favorite episodes [QUOTE]

Mayor to Leonard Nimoy: May the force be with you!

Leonard Nimoy to Mayor: Do you even know who I am?

Mayor to Leonard Nimoy: I think I do. Aren't you one of The Little Rascals?

I don’t go for these back-door shenanigans. Sure, I'm flattered, maybe even a little bit curious, but the answer is no.

mzupeman2 03-12-04 12:43 PM

Yeah, ya know, thinking about it.... wasn't another season or two in the past of Simpsons also promised for a May-June release, only to never happen?

duz 03-13-04 03:32 PM

The reason it takes so long to get the early eps out is that the home video rights wern't included when they got the rights to use songs, not the commentaries. The commentaries for season 4 were mostly done when 3 was released. As the seasons go on they started including home video rights into the song deals so they'll (hopefully) speed up the releases.

NaturalMystic79 03-13-04 05:18 PM

Is there a chance the track could bent?

Excellent, now Simpsons season 4, Curb Your Enthusiasm season 2 and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 2 come out on June 15th. My three favorite shows on the same day. And I noticed deleted scenes in the press release, can't wait to see those.
My day is even more expensive. I have The Dead Zone Season 2 to pick up that day as well.

Didn't Conan O'Brien supposedly say he just recorded the commentaries recently? Like a month ago?

jough 03-14-04 12:17 AM

Yeah, and Mike Reiss said that they just finished the commentaries for season four in another interview, and also said that it's hard to get the right people together to do them.

So they've probably been recording them off and on for months.

This will be the released of the year for me! Hope the DD 5.1 is improved. In season 1 & 2 the rears are almost dead silent.

LBCrazyFool 03-30-04 09:11 PM

Hopefully Conan is on the commentary track for Marge vs. the Monorail. One of my favs.

"Mono means one... And rail means rail"

Rypro 525 03-30-04 09:19 PM

i don't see why conan wouldn't be on the monorail episode. thats one where he wrote.

Kant 03-31-04 01:13 AM

I thought there was going to be a voices recording featurette?
I saw this:
Extras will include an audio commentary on each episode, an introduction by Matt Groening, a voiceover featurette with James L. Brooks, animatics, an Animation Showcase multi-angle feature, commercials, deleted scenes and more. The set will be available to own from the 15th June this year, and should retail at around $49.98. I'm afraid we don't have the official artwork yet, but we'll do our very best to bring you that shortly....so I guess a voiceover featurette with James L. Brooks isn't on any more? Or maybe it is the Bush vs Simpson?

Simpson Purist 03-31-04 06:23 AM

I hope these specs are for real. While I loved the season 3 DVD, it was certainly missing out on those features it promised in its press release.
