'Breakdown' Special Edition Ever?
I love this movie, and would really love to see a SE of it. The current one is pretty bare bones, right? Anyone heard anything about an SE sometime down the road?

From: A little bit here and a little bit there.
I want one.
It's much better than the directors other efforts (T3 and U-571)
And is deserving of a nice transfer and extras. The 5.1 mix on the current edition is pretty good.
Kurt Russell Commentary anyone?

Pretty good film, but I don't know about a SE of it. I haven't seen the original DVD so I don't know about the transfer, but I remember some of the earlier Paramount DVDs had pretty mediocre transfers (The Saint comes to mind).

I have the version currently out but wouldn't buy the SE now, as I did with Pulp Fiction, Escape from New York, and plan to do with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Thought the movie started out great but began to unravel very early into the film, and just got sillier and sillier. I did enjoy the flick for entertainment's sake, but I'm not sure that even a commentary could be interesting. I feel your pain though because if its one of your faves it sucks to get a basic release. I felt that way with the insert that came with To Live and Die in LA, but was pleased with the disc itself.
