Voices from list extra, doesnt play on dvd player, but works on my dvd-rom.... There are several instances of skipping on both players... I plan on exchanging mine... My pianist dvd from universal also, actually rotted... I think these problems from the schindler dvd are indicating future rotting...

I also had serious freeze/pixelation problems immediately following the layer change on side one and continuing throughout chapter 14 on my Panny RP62. The same problems (although not as bad) occured on the laptop. I just exchanged it for a new one and checked the problem section, which is fine on this one, thankfully, but I won't feel good about this disc now until I get a chance to sit down and watch the whole thing.

This is horrid news. I wasn't even going to open my copy, but now I guess I'd better watch it so I can make sure it works before too much time passed.

I'm happy to say that I finally found a Circuit City here in Orange County that wasn't sold out of this title in WS and I watched all of Chapter 14 with no problems on my Sony...but my copy of GlengarryGlen Ross came from DDD and the WS Disc was scratched as it popped loose and the FF was snug in place...and I wouldn't return it if it were the other way around. Here I felt like I won with SL and lost with GGR. Aaarg.

No problems on my Toshiba SD4800. Very very slight layer change. Would've missed it if I had blinked. Otherwise, it played flawless.

I received my copy thru Netfilx, but had a similar stopping problem around 65:40 on a Pioneer 563-AS. I've never had a problem with this player on any other discs. I took out the disc to make sure it was clean and it was, so ultimately I had to fast forward to about two minutes and then it played fine the rest of the way.

Thank goodness I have a DENON too!
Originally posted by The_Infidel I watched mine from beginning to end, and there seemed to be no problems. No glitches, no skips, no pauses. By the way, is everyone referring to minutes in the film? In other words, 117:00 meaning literally 117 minutes, or one hour and 17 minutes? Sorry if that's a stupid question. BTW, I have a Denon DVD2900. |
Any folks in Canada have any problems with this disk?
