I could never find this thing in stores. I bought mine at DeepDiscountDVD.com.

just raise yo hand

I just got NOTLD: 30th Anniversary from CH. I wasn't paying attention and ordered it, thinking it was the ME. I didn't realize until after shipment came. Crapola...

Anyway, it's going up on Ebay now - still sealed, where some unsuspecting soul will no doubt buy it for more than I paid to get it from CH.

Unless, of course someone on the DVD Talk board wants to make an offer for it. Ummm, uhhh...it's a really great DVD... has "extra new footage" umm, uhhh...

If you haven't opened it, why not just e-mail/call Columbia House and let them know you ordered it by mistake? They'll send you a postage-paid label to ship it back, and give you a full refund.

The 30th edition doesn't sell well on eBay. I've seen them with $6 opening bids that go unsold.

I thought of that, but somehow imagine that time/hassle of trying to return it and hope I get proper credit would be more trouble than Ebaying it. Several of the more recent auctions for sealed copies of NOTLD: 30th Anniversary have been selling in the $15.00-$19.00 range. I would just like to recoup the $11.99 I paid through CH, so I think there is a better than even chance to do that on Ebay. But maybe I will reconsider...

Geez, people don't seem to mind when new footage is added to the original Star Wars trilogy but put their hands on NOTLD and draw back a nub. I actually have the 30th as well as the ME. I think I'll keep it as a teaching tool so that I can one day show my kids what kind of damage talentless a#%holes are capable of, kind of like how Criterion put the crappy "true love conquers all" version of Brazil in their release.

No, not new. Just being sarcastic. It's just that some people tolerate the changes Lucas made to SW but everyone universally loathes the 1990 Living Dead. I prefer the originals. I just can't understand that some people think the "special" editions are acceptable. I don't care to hi-jack the thread into another debate regarding SW.

Not sure but that's not a bad price.

This was one of the few (if not the only) DVDs I paid full price for. I was at Suncoast to buy one of their nifty shelves and saw it... and HAD to get it right then and there. This was before I discovered DDD and hadn't seen it in other B&Ms.
