Dawn of the Dead Question (layer change?)

The part where
Spoiler:
Roger got bit by the zombie, and there is a shot of Peter looking pissed and he shifts gears,
there seems to be a really long pause when I play it on my PS2, but really really bad skipping on another player. Was there a layer change on here or something, just wondering. Thanks! (on the new DVD)

Not sure if that's where a layer change is, but I noticed no lag on my Panny.

Thanks for the spoiler that
Spoiler:
the third billed supporting role got bitten by a zombie
. I couldn't in my wildest imagination have guessed that
Spoiler:
one of the supporting characters would be bit by a zombie
. Now I'm not going to watch this DVD.

I don't understand why you'd read the thread if you've never seen the movie. Regardless, adding spoiler tags.

Maybe because some people have either just bought the dvd, or are planning on it, and they want to see if there is a possible problem with it?

I specifically remember that my player paused (at what I assume was the layer change), but not at the scene you mentioned.

Heh, if you're worried about spoilers then don't look at the spine on the DVD case.

You better not watch the trailer before seeing the movie either... Wait, aren't trailers put out before films are released? They're giving it all away!!!

Mine did pause at that part, I believe it was a layer change. It did play fine however.

Ok, my mistake in my earlier post. Watched the movie again, and this scene is where the layer change is.

Just tried to watch my copy last night, my Toshiba freezes and stalls on the same spot. Plays fine on my PS2. I'm going to give another copy a shot today. Nice job AB.

Does it need to be understood? The fact that people do read threads without having seen the movie is in itself enough to warrant spoiler tags (I'm guessing you agree, since you added the tags...)

(I haven't seen this movie, BTW)

ive gotten my 3rd one and it still messes up after the layer change. im also using the toshiba 4800. what the hells up with that? do some dvds just not play well with ceratin players? and i have another question. i went to go try it out on my neighbors player and it played fine but what i also noticed is that there was absolutely no pause during the layer change. they have a cheap sony player and it pissed me off cuz i have the tosh 4800 which everyone said it was the best around the time i bought it but this crappy little sony plays through layer changes without stopping. sometimes you get those layer changes that are on a good spot where you cant notice it but on certain movies like scarface its very obvious and a bit annoying. when people watch the movie and they dont really know about layer changes they probably think theres something wrong with my player or movie. ok im done.
