Obviously by film historians. There are already two different commentary tracks for this film on laserdisc (one on the Criterion edition, a different one on the Ultimate Oz boxed set).

I would assume that Warner actually has the rights to the Ultimate Oz/MGM commentary. I don't see why they couldn't just plop that sucker on to a new SE.

I bet you'd like Alice in Wonderland that way too...

Theatrical aspect ratio of this movie: 1.37:1

Full screen my friend. Not every movie ever made was in widescreen.

(for good measure)

Geez, lighten up. The :P seemed like a pretty obvious signal that he was joking.

I was! Lots of folks were literally angry that Alice was fullscreen only. I was just making a fun comparison. . I guess I should use more s myself.

Thanks for that link. I couldn't remember it and didn't have it bookmarked. Judging by that site I wouldn't say there are too few things that sync up.

Come on...most of those things are incredible stretches. You *really* have to make a jump to link the two. I have played music for 15 years, and written close to 50 songs. It would be next to impossible to write a WHOLE ALBUM that would sync up with what's going on screen, especially when you had no control of the filming. Even if it were possible, it would take immeasurable amounts of time to make a cohesive piece of work that fit.

What about the majority of the film and album that DO NOT match? Is that just filler?

It's fun that people took the time to do this, but really, I will never believe that it's more than sheer coincidence. People have alot of fun with Nostradamus, and do the same thing when linking his "prophecies" to current events. To me it's no different.

Maybe David Gilmour is saving it for his deathbed (long live David Gilmour)
