Croupier- new release anamorphic?
This is finally coming out after only being available through Netflix to rent. I had rented it & wasn't very impressed with the non-anamorphic print. Will the new release be different? DvdEmpire has a cover scan & the back just says it's letterboxed, but not if it's anamorphic. I'm not sure if it's a different company than the previous release or not. Anyone have any info. I think Image titles usually are 16x9, but this might not be if it's the old transfer.

Well Image's website says it's 1:78:1 non anamorphic but does contain a new audio track (5.0 Dolby). However looking at that back cover, that sure looks like a Dolby Digital Stereo logo on it and 1:85:1 aspect ratio.
I think it's probably going to be the same disc that was previously available thru netflix.

This is the same disc as has been available through Netflix. Image now just has the rights to distribute it for sale. From what I was told, it had no control over the contents.
