I'm very happy, but all "in" in what way tho? Commentaries for ALL episodes or?
Holy participating cast members batman! It's about time.
Thanks for posting, I'll add this to my Christmas list :D |
I know what I want for Xmas!
Woo hoo!
I bet they were doing some commentaries and behind the scenes stuff for the set and realized, hey, this looks kind of stupid with just Jerry & Kramer.
The three co-stars have no share in the royalties, which have netted Seinfeld more than a billion dollars. one BILLION dollars!! http://www.nscollegeprep.cps.k12.il....es/dr.evil.jpg |
After reading Alexander's interview, I'm not banking on cast commentaries...at least, not with everyone in the same room.
I wonder if you get an exclusive bonus DVD if you buy this at the jerk store.
Jerry doesnt desearve all that money. Even tho the show as called seinfeld he wasnt the main attaction of the show. I actually found his character annoying. I like all the others tho. Cant wait for the set. They better pay them everything they desearve.
GEORGE IS GETTIN' UPSET!!!!
Now this is great news! I rarely catch any of the episodes on TV nowadays, so it'll be great to pop in any episode that I want to watch....I want all seasons.
Yeeeeeeeesss!!!
This is a DEFINITE buy now!! Hopefully, if the sales are tremendously successful maybe they can make Seinfield movies or a TV sequel. |
Giddy Up!
Although Jerry was well compensated, I think that the show itself netted a billion dollars, not Jerry.
i am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo in, so excited that i just cant hide it, i'm about to lose control and i think i like it, oh yeah

It's his wacky mooching neighbor, sleazy friend, and bitchy ex-girlfriend that made the show great. |
Originally posted by LBCrazyFool Nice  I was hoping Jason Alexander would give in and participate. I can't imagine that Seinfeld will be on the commentary with the rest of them, though. It seems like there's some bad blood over the financial situation. |
It's not like Jerry earned so much money, just because it was about him. The fact that he created, and executive produced it just plays a little into that equation
Jerry ended up selling the rights to the show for syndication for roughly 225 million. There has to be some bad blood with these guys.
god, i hope this is true.
"Costanza is in the building!" |
Re: Seinfeld: Everybody's IN!
From TVShowsonDVD.com: ...Just a reminder - the set should be out around Christmas, 2004 (a specific date isn't known at this time). "Festivus for the rest of us! Someone get the ceremonial pole, I have a lot of grievances with you all!" |
Definately looking forward to this one. It is ashame that the cast isn't "connected" in real life (like say, the Friends cast), but at least they will all participate in this venture.
So looking at how greedy Seinfeld was too not include the other 3 cast members who I think made the show what it is just as much as he did, all four deserve the same credit, and I know since Jerry produced it he obviously gets more, but him getting over a billion in royalties while the other 3 get less than a quarter of a Million! thats DUH!!
So now Jerry is going to charge us a $100.00 bucks per season regardless of how many episodes are on a season. This will be the most expensice DVD series to come...Folks. |
Very happy for the cast and happy to be getting the set. Even though I somehow manage to watch this show 2 or 3 times a day in syndication, I'll still gladly pick this up on the first day. What is the #1 selling TV set so far? Any bets on how quickly "Seinfeld" will beat it?
