Problem Child 2-pack FULL FRAME ONLY!!

Thanks a lot Universal...here is a link to the back of the box where i saw this: http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...3&tab=5&back=1

Yeah i realize these are silly, juvenile movies, but they are both big nostalgia from my childhood i was hoping to have on DVD...IN WIDESCREEN!! I was really looking forward to buying this but Universal will NOT get my money until these are, if ever, released properly in WIDESCREEN.

I was going to buy this, but now I have second thoughts.

I don't really care about them being full frame, it's not like they're Pan&Scan, they're open matte, so it's not a huge deal.

But I already own Problem Child in Full Frame, so I don't know if I really want to double dip. If it were widescreen, sure I'd buy it again. But I already have it, so I don't see much reason to buy it again.

This is seriously one of my favorite movies ever. I'm picking it up no matter what. Obviously disappointed it's FS but not surprised.

I've been waiting so long, I wonder if this is only coming out because of John Ritter's death. :-/

Why is it that you don't mind altered aspect ratio that's different from its original theatrical exhibition or indended ratio?

Because for a movie like Problem Child.. I don't think it makes a lick of difference.

Perhaps because the pleasure he'll get from the movie is far greater than the feeling of self-righteousness he'll get from hoisting the "No Widescreen, No Sale" banner.

You know why you don't mind full screen at all? The answer is obviously because you are an ignorant fool.

Mods, how 'bout giving this guy a warning for personal attacks...Kinda like you did to me a while back when I told someone they were an idiot (which they were!)..

I don't mind being warned, but at least enforce it on everyone.

Or he has a widescreen TV that can be zoomed in so that it looks OAR. It cuts off the top and bottom of the picture that would be matted out with letterboxing.

Open matte isn't a big deal to a lot of widescreen TV owners. May not be as good as a 16x9 transfer, but better than an old VHS copy.

I don't think it should matter what the film is. Every film should be presented properly, no matter what. Why would some "be okay"?

My sentiments exactly.

I'm usually a OAR guy all the way, but just some movies should be swept under the rug as discreetly as possible.

Next thing you know someone will complain that the Problem Child movies aren't in DTS-ES 6.1 surround sound! Back on topic, I will definately be picking these up! Very funny ass movies! Even has cameo of Gilbert Godfrey!
