If its a movie I have never seen I try to make sure I will get to watch the whole thing. If its a movie I have seen I don't worry about it that much.

75% of the time I'll watch new movies all the way through. When I'm watching a movie for a 2nd, 3rd, etc.. time I typically only watch the entire movie 1/3 of the time.

In alot of cases it's late at night so I end up falling asleep. But then again, I have ADD (no, that doesn't mean I'm an accountant) and I just get distracted or bored.

I put Sometimes, but it's really for time, not because of the movie.

Some movies I'll watch to a certain point, some I'll skip to certain scenes and some I watch all the way through.

It all depends on the movie for me.

Depends greatly on the film.

Example: Recently received our blind buy, Runaway Jury.

My wife and I were both interested in it, so we planned a night to watch it together uninterrupted for the first time.
That is about 10% of the time (maybe less).

Normally, I will have a DVD on in the background on my living room TV while I work (I work from home).

By and large, this is a DVD that I have seen before, so my attention doesn't have to be firm.

If I attempt to put on a film I have never seen before, I will want to watch it all the way through if possible.

I would say that my personal dedicated watching is about 20% of my DVD time, with the other 80% just casually having it on, but not paying 100% attention to it.

Most of the time, I watch my DVDs all the way through. I only really split them up when I'm watching on flights and can only get part of the film in. I have split up watching the LOTR extended editions though. Watch it in 2 chunks usually. 3.5 hrs or so is just too darned long for me to sit in one spot watching one movie. I need a little break time in there.

I always watch movies all the way through

Granted there are expections, such as long epic films. Those I do my best to wait until I know I will have time to view them. Such to say,I still have not watched Once Upon A Time In America,Dances With Wolves:extended version,Apocalype Now Redux..& a few other 3+ hour epics.

Though surprisingly enough,I have watched my JFK SE dvd two times,I just love that movie

I almost made it through Once Upon A Time In The West, but had to turn it off after 70 minutes,to give my brothers friends a ride home, then since the mood was killed,it was late & I had to get up early for work. I still have not gotten back to finishing it.

Now none of the films listed as 'bad' or anything. In fact I consider them all great masterpiece films. It is just I want to watch them all the way through(with occasionally bathroom breaks etc),rather than taking weeks to get through them.

Back when I rented VHS alot. I used to sit through everything, including the most boring films. Of course I have since wised up. If a film is boring as hell & I don't like it one bit. I turn it off,as I have more important things to do,than waste my time with movies I don't like.

Meanwhile with dvd,I barely rent, buy plenty of blind buys of stuff I always wanted to see & am sure I may like. Always watch them all the way through, unless they are bad bad bad & boring. So far I have been lucky in that area thank god

Meanwhile if a film is 2 hours or less. yes I watch those all the way through with no problems.

I don't watch the whole DVD through. I skip/fast forward all the forced trailers and go straight to the feature presentation

The only movies I don't watch all the way through are the Star Wars prequels. I skip to the parts that are worth watching and then either put something else in or do something else with my time.

I'm retentive when it comes to watching a movie in it's entirety. I either watch it all the way through or I don't watch it at all. My best friend and a friend of his don't mind stopping at various points (due mostly to time rather than the movie at hand) and I jokingly say "Why watch it at all if you're not going to watch it all?"
