I was wondering if anyone out there is familiar with the laserdisc version of El Mariachi? I'm asking because the laserdisc lists a runtime of 90 minutes, while the DVD shows it is 81 minutes.

I'm curious if this is accurate, and if the laserdisc truly contains nine additional minutes not seen in the theatrical version?

The laserdisc run-time is mis-stated. The 90 minutes is a cumulative total for both the feature and the "Bed Head" short film that appears after the movie.

Funnily enough, the dvd commentary is cut.
