Lawrence of Arabia SB and Single Re-Release ?
Just curious about these 2 discs. I tried searching for anything on them but could only find stuff about the Limited Edition and the Superbit.
Just wondering how much difference there is between the Blue Cover Re-Release I guess it was and the Superbit release? They both seem to have no extras and reviews from this site say both Audio/Video on both releases are pretty good.
I watch my movies on a 27" Toshiba Flatscreen with S-video so I don't exactly need some amazing quality video.
So since the blue covered single edition is about $10 bucks cheaper is it worth it to get the Superbit or is there not much difference?
Should also add I know about the Limited Edition but I don't want to spend $50 (CAD) + for it since I still havn't even seen this film yet. Even if it's my favorite film I'll get the LE at a later date if I'm interested in it.

The single-disc blue cover edition comes from the older video transfer used on the LE. The SuperBit has an improved video transfer with more accurate colors and less edge enhancement. How much of a difference you'll notice on a 27" set I can't say, but the SuperBit is better, for what it's worth. The SuperBit also has a DTS track, if that matters to you.

Ah ok thanks for the answer. I did see some comparions while searching with the Superbit and LE and the Superbit did seem quite a bit nicer. Guess I'll grab that instead of the single blue covered release.

This thread discusses about the LE vs SB (the single-disc version shares the same transfer as the LE):
