Angel and .Joss Whedon...

Joss Whedon is THE man!! Isn't?
He's the creator and executive producer of two great TV series.
Buffy, The Vampire Slayer and Angel!
My favorite is Angel... And I'm glad to see that the Season 3 is coming out TODAY!!! Feb. 10th...
22 episodes on 6 discs with lots of features....this is what I've always wanted... Angel to watch whenever I want...hehehehe
But, anyway, I already ordered my copy..hehehe... At amazon.com...

Anyone else into Angel? and looking for this release??
Or, what you think of Joss Whedon, and his series?? the man behind Angel and Buffy!

I heard Joss maybe writing for X-Men. Has anyone heard of this? Is it true?

You underestimate the man. He's the creator and executive producer of three great TV series. You forgot "Firefly."

He did some work on the first movie's script...

But like most movies he writes, I don't think he enjoyed the movie. I can't think of any movie he's done that he's been happy with off the top of my head.

that's certainly a large rumor floating about, but the specifics are unclear due to the "reboot" event happening this spring. popular theory has been that whedon would take over writing for new x-men, but many aren't sure that there will be a "new x-men" comic around after the reboot. following that, the guess is for joss to write some new x-book, but exactly whether there will be any new series other than the rebadged x-treme x-men (turns into excalibur) is also not known.

Yes, Angel S3!!!!!!!

I've only seen one episode of Firefly.

I'm eagerly awaiting S6 of buffy and future incarnations of the franchise. I don't expect a theatrical movie, but a two-hour TV reunion of sorts is more likely as is a spin-off, post-Angel (and hopefully, that goes on for atleast one more season!!!).

Toy Story perhaps?

Whedon is a very talented guy and I am really enjoying the Angel season 3 box... one of the best shows on TV and highly underrated (well, now it's starting to get it's due...)

I am definitely not a fan of his work. I'm not saying that his work isn't good, it's just that I don't enjoy it. Different strokes for different folks, right?

Joss is definitely a talented guy. While not quite up to the level of Buffy (greatest TV show ever), Angel is right up there amongst my TV faves. In fact I'm off right now to put some of my Best Buy Reward Zone certificates to good use!

Very talented guy - definitely don't forget Firefly which is also rumored to have a feature film soon as well.

What exactly is the point of this thread?

I think this thread would be more appropriate in the TV Forum.

Alien Resurrection is pretty weak but if you have the big Alien boxset you can see some pretty interesting interviews with Whedon on his original ideas etc... Good stuff.

Lord I hope not (at least I hope he's staying far away from the movies, I don't care if he writes for the comics). Whedon is good for story lines, but the man should never write dialogue. He's kinda like George Lucas in that regard. JMO.

????

Insofar as his TV work is concerned, his dialogue is nothing less than brilliant. Funny, intelligent, and sound-bite worthy.

Whedon has already written well-received comics, including Fray for Dark Horse.
