Worst picture quality on DVD?

What's the worst transfer/picture quality you've seen on DVD? I was in Suncoast tonight and took advantage of their two $14.99 DVD's for $20.00 special and picked up several older titles for my library. Among them was "Uncle Buck". Which is the worst picture quality I've ever seen on any DVD. The film was so grainy and even out of focus in spots. Thumbs way down Universal!

Didn't the CE for Scarface hold the record for that? Or was it Highlander?

The Top Ten Media version of Hell Comes to Frogtown is quite painful to look at.

Anything I've seen from Top Ten is horrible, Bad LD or VHS to DVD transfers. Simitar, Diamond, many Troma DVDs.

Trancers, R1 holds that record for me. I mean, my god. They should be ashamed for putting that out.

The Scarface CE gets my vote. I'd watch my letterbox VHS copy over that.

It's been a while, but I don't recall Uncle Buck looking too badly.

I secomd the Last Man on Earth, I would love to see a restored version of that, such a great movie.

It's a tie:

Either any Madacy release

or

the first release of Barry Lyndon

I'd gladly trade mine for yours then. Was watching it with some friends and they all commented how horrible the print was.

The Last Emperor is horribly grainy and full of artifacts that would make a VHS blush.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ...Nothing is grainier than the transfer of Meet the Feebles.

I've mentioned it before in other threads... Brentwood's 4 Movies release Blood Bath. The transfer looks like they used an old VHS tape that was dragged through gravel.

I'd have to go with the old Scarface CE, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, and Happy Gilmore.

Of the thousands of DVDs I have seen and owned, nothing has ever approached the horrific quality of UAV's release of the original Invaders From Mars. Besides a wretched transfer of an awful print, the image actually has different contrast levels on each half of the screen throughout the film. The film was shot in color, but there are times you'd swear it's in B&W on this DVD.

over a dozen posts and no mention of the original Highlader release. Tsk. Tsk. Slipping. This has always been considered the worst transfer ever. For as long as I have been on this forum anyway.

<--- which has been awhile.
