Heavy Metal Parking lot COMING SOON!

www.heavymetalparkinglot.net

3 hours of extras (which makes sense, as the film is only about 20 minutes). "coming soon" (whatever that means)

Now we just need "Heavy Metal Drummer" on DVD!

The hell? What is this?? Looks hilarious! Like a time machine to my distant past. I'll be keeping an eye out for this one...

If you're interested in "Banger" culture, check out FUBAR, very funny mock-documentary out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Just give'r!

Basically a guy took a video camera to a Judas Priest show in the mid '80s. What you see is a bunch of drunk people proclaiming their love of metal. I haven't seen it in 10 years, but from what I remember, it's really funny how times have changed since then.

It's a classic.

Never even heard of this movie until this thread. But it sounds interesting. If it's a decent price, I may make it a blind buy. Love this special feature listed on the site:

I managed to watch Heavy Metal Parking Lot this weekend over at Planet Krulik and yes, it's hilarious. (Jeff Krulik is the "co-producer" of HMPL and the movie is available to view as streaming Real or QuickTime media.) If the price is right, I'd definitely spring for a DVD. Whenever my friends drop by, I'd pop it in and pronounce, "This... is your life!"

Isn't Heavy Metal Drummer the home video of a guy playing "air drums" to the entire Metallica black album?

Yeah. I haven't seen it, but supposedly it was found in the trash and it was just some guy pretending he was in Metallica. For a whole "show". I hear it's hilarious.

Is this the film that's featured in Less Than Jake's video for "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads"?

Saw this on Trio yesterday. Kinda funny in a jaw-dropping, these-people-can't-be-for-real way.

Okay, I did a little searching and the "Heavy Metal Drummer" movie is called Metallica Drummer and can be purchased on VHS at several websites, so DVD can't be that far off.

Until then, this animated GIF will have to suffice.
