I think this is beneficial for Disney. If they resign with Pixar, they need to reorganize the current contract. Then Disney wouldn't earn as much. Who knows what's going to happen after 2 more movies. Pixar cannot possibly turn out one hit after another.

Don't bet on Pixar not continuing their success with future films. It's no accident that they've developed films like Toy Story, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo.

I have a feeling that this could hurt special features related to "The Incredibles" and "Cars" on DVD, which Disney will be releasing as part of their original contract.
If someone from Pixar says that they want to put a commentary or some special features on the discs, I can see Disney saying "Too damn bad. Take a hike."

Disney Pixar Breakup
I think if this split hurts anyone , its going to be disney. Pixar will be off making great features (they haven't made a bad one yet). And Disney will be well on there way to releasing Brother Bear 2: Electric Bugaloo.

This has nothing to do with DVD
